Cute little cottage with a short walk to the beach. We spent most of our time on the beaches of Sanibel Island which was about a 30 minute drive. Our kids loved coming back “to their Florida house” and playing in the pool after long beach days. We had a great time.

This house is a gem, very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable furniture. We felt right at home. The pool was lovely to use after a few hours at the beach. The beach is in walking distance, but it helped to have a car to take the heavier items to the trail that accesses the beach, which is just across Estero Blvd. The location is also great especially for a family with children or people looking for a more peaceful beach stay because it is away from the fun nightlife that Fort Meyers Beach offers. We rented bikes at Quickie Cycling on Estero Blvd to get to the restaurants and shops a little faster. Diane is a very attentive host. I will definitely go back!

This was our first trip to Fort Myers and this was a great home to stay in. The living room and connecting kitchen were large and inviting. We spent hours, all spread out on the different couches, cozy enough that we had a few unexpected naps! We didn't do any cooking, but the updated refrigerator was great for storing leftovers from various Fort Myers restaurants (you have to try Heavenly Biscuits!) The beach access points were so easy to find, both about a 5 minute walk. We used Dianes beach chairs (super light) and brought our own utility cart to take to the beach and it was a breeze! You must cross the main road to get to the beach, but the crosswalk is not very far out of the way and the mostly slow moving drivers are respectful of pedestrians. The beach itself was a dream! The part of the island that we accessed was so peaceful. There were scattered groups down the beach, nothing like the public beach access areas. After a busy day, a shower with the waterfall showerhead and laying down in the comfy, memory foam mattresses was the perfect end. The only real downside, and it might be a big one- the air conditioning restrictions. The house rules states that the air should be set to 78* when we were in and 85* when we were out. The house has great fans in the bedrooms and living room, but we were miserable at the hottest times of the day. We took a lot of showers, drank A LOT of ice water. One of my party had a hard time sleeping. If you are hot natured or have someone in your group who is, you may want to look elsewhere. If you're comfortable with heat, this is a great house!
