Wonderful weekend getaway from the DMV area. We have a 7 year old boy and 4 year old girl and they loved the caboose so much. They didn't want to say goodbye.

I stayed here with my sons, 4 and 8, and it was perfect for them! The property is beautiful and has many, many interesting things to explore. The caboose itself is perfect for a family of four, and my sons loved the bunk room! If you have a young family that had train enthusiasts, this is an incredible stay.

We did a overnight stay to celebrate my daughter turning 11. Rhe cart grounds and kitchen was absolutely beautiful. We started a nice fire and the wood being provided was also a big bonus. I cant wait to go back for a weekend with just the wife and I. Thank you Rassawek!

An absolutely flawless stay… from check in to out and every moment in between we felt completely comfortable, relaxed, and inspired by the creativity and artistry of Rassawek Station and the entire property. My husband and I, my toddler AND my octogenarian father in law all found no reason to leave the property - and we just scratched the surface. Somehow they have blended the preservation of unique and critical parts of our past (that includes things like antique crane trucks, Studebakers, machine presses, outhouses, smokehouses, and everything in between) into a pristine landscape that seems to have surprises tucked away in every corner. Our toddler was in heaven visiting grandpa in the caboose and getting a chance to safely explore his love of all things train related, and mom was thrilled to find no need to crack open the cleaning supplies she travels with (just in case). Beds and linens were some of the most comfortable we’ve experienced in our extensive travels, and the kitchen was well stocked with what appears to be all new stuff. Additionally, there was no need to ask the host to put away items that aren’t child safe- (yay) the decor is tasteful, minimalist, and comfortable exactly what we want when traveling. The lodge is charming as are the other structures and we are so glad we chose this property for our family’s get together. Just one more shout out: The steps up to each train car were so easy to navigate for the 2 year old and the 89 year old. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Rassawek!
