You can now order in Groceries from Food Fair Supermarket or cooked food from your favourite restaurant online and have it delivered right to your door! No need to worry about dinner or transport - It costs less than US$5 for this reliable service! The open plan living space with folding doors and ceiling fans, connect the breezy living area and the breakfast bar of the kitchen with the garden views of the balcony and sundeck. Cable TV and WiFi are included The bathroom has hot and cold running water in the shower and the apartment has its own water tank. Sink taps have room temperature water 28'C You have your own washing machine! You have your own private entrance, (lower green gates), driveway and parking space. We suggest you print internet maps in advance with details of our location... Smithy's Garden We added a few photos of landmarks along the route to get here, suggest you print these too! You will find this cool apartment very welcoming after a hot day at the beach. Open up the doors, switch on the fans, and enjoy living areas of the tropics! Rustle up some BBQ and sip a Carib or Stag! Close enough by car to the shops and restaurants in St George's and the beaches at Grand Anse, but high enough in the hills at 800ft to catch the cooling breezes and feel that you are almost in the rain-forest. Grenada is a volcanic island with the highest peak being 2757ft. Relative to this our location is considered the suburbs! (Approx area 60sq m) A drive of less than 10 to 15 mins connects you with most places of interest. Fort Frederick is only a mile or a power walk away. LaPhere Bleu and Port Louis restaurants are a ten-minute drive away as is Clarke's Court Marina. Food from your favourite restaurants can be ordered and delivered online! Great new service!!! They even deliver groceries from the Food Fair supermarket!! If you plan on exploring Grenada and need a base, you may well choose to stay with us! We loved staying at Anne's place for our first 3 nights in Grenada. The apartment is surrounded by a beautiful garden with a variety of tropical plants and trees. Anne was so responsive and helpful even amidst her busy schedule creating gorgeous floral arrangements from her garden. The apartment is so cozy and homey, and Anne provided clear instructions for everything. Driving up the mountain to her place was exciting to say the least; it was great to be in a residential neighborhood and not separated. You can walk to a little store for groceries, and there is a view of the ocean and just gorgeous trees and foliage from the front patio. Driving to the beaches only takes about 15 minutes. Anne is truly a gem and inspiring as well.
We are so happy. we chose Anne's place to stay at. Anne is a beautiful person and someone we will definitely remember. We had more of an authentic experience at her place. it was very clean, very private and her gardens are amazing. We were able to meet several of her gardeners that kept up with the grounds. They were very friendly and they shared their knowledge of some of the fruits and plants on the property with us. if you like a bit of adventure and you're a confident driver. We would definitely recommend a more experiential stay at Anne's place. We enjoyed the culture and the wonderful people of Grenada. The driving is a quite unique experience in this country.

Stayed here the last week of December and absolutely loved it. The house was a perfect size with all the amenities and located in a very calm and beautiful part of the island. Breakfast and coffee in the garden with all of the birds, lizards, cool plants, and hummingbirds was a perfect way to start each day and, the sunsets were downright incredible. The grill was a very nice touch, too! The location is exactly as described and since I was diving everyday having a car (or scooter) was a big convenience. Easy location to access anything, but super quiet and serene overall. Anne is a truly excellent host. Most definitely want to return!
We really enjoyed our stay with Anne and her family. The apartment is lovely and we were able to watch hummingbirds from the window! The apartment is on the beautiful Morne Jaloux ridge and is in easy reach of St. George's, the beaches of the South coast and a good starting point for travelling further up the coast towards Grenville or Gouyave. Edwin showed us around the beautiful garden - a real treat and Anne gave us really useful advice and recommendations.

Morne Jaloux ridge is a residential area just one mile from Fort Frederick and three miles from the historic capitol St George's. Cooled by easterly trade winds, and just 800 ft. above sea level, this location is ideal and safe. 100 yards up the road from Smithy's is the local bus stop where you can take the 10 min drive to St George's if you want to mingle with Grenadians, visit the museum or shop for local produce in the colorful market. Travel once on the bus and the driver and conductor will know your stop on the return!
Less than a mile away is Woburn where there is a lovely lookout for shore birds. In the garden are a variety of birds as well, several hummers and the spectacled thrush as well as a variety of doves. Anoli lizards are frequent visitors to the veranda as they live in the garden. They are harmless.
This lovely residential area is best suited to vacationers who like renting cars and scooters or taking taxis or waiting for local buses who seem to have their own individual time table. All buses go into St George's where a transfer bus can take you to other destinations around the island. Buses are therefore probably not very practical if you have appointments to keep. Our guests can enjoy discounted car rental and tour rates if they book with our associates McIntyre Bros Car Rental and Caribbean Horizons Tours - just confirm you are staying with us when booking, or we can book for you.
In a rental vehicle Grand Anse beach is less than 10 minutes away, en route is Grenada Distillers, home of Clarkes Court rum as well as picturesque Hog and Calivigni islands. Within walking distance of your accommodation are village shops selling basic items. The main super-markets in Grand Anse are close to the beach and you probably will make a habit of doing your shopping there after a swim and a lime at Umbrellas Beach bar on Grand Anse beach. Venture further and you will discover Morne Rouge Beach and several restaurants selling wonderful dishes, some made with Grenada's fresh fish and Lobster. Mt Hartman dove sanctuary and Woburn wetlands are also en route to Grand Anse. There are several supermarkets and restaurants in St George's as well, some on the waterfront and others very close to the main bus terminal and fish market.
The local buses are privately owned and seem to run on timetables of their own...if time is not an issue for you, you may find that traveling on a bus is a great way to experience Grenada as a local and the fares are very inexpensive - EC$3 -EC$5.
