There is also a fascinating church, peaceful riverside walks, play areas and the tram service to the coast at Seaton. This lovely part of east Devon is close to the Dorset border with Lyme Regis just 7 miles away. Explore Seaton Wetlands and enjoy beautiful marshland and reedbeds alongside the river Axe. There are five bird hides and approximately 4 km of level trails and boardwalks suitable for wheelchair, bike and pushchair. A countryside haven home to an abundance of wildlife. By taking the tram from Colyton to Seaton this will take you through to Colyford, The Wetlands and into Seaton. Nearby is the market town of Axminster where you can visit the River Cottage Canteen.
