Perfect place for one or two people. Convenient to most everything. Quiet surroundings. Surprisingly cool in the house during the middle of the day when temps were 104f or so. Will be back in the cooler months later this year for sure. Thanks Sue and Brian!

My husband and I had a very enjoyable experience at the Santa Vaca casita while visiting Big Bend.! The casita was comfortable and cozy with the king sized bed. The sitting area was perfect for watching the sunset with uninterrupted views of the desert. Do keep in mind there is a camp site nearby (The Goat Pens) that hosts an occasional music festival, so time your stays here accordingly if you want peace and quiet. Overall, a great location to quickly get to the ghost town, stores and the park entrance.

What a beautiful and peaceful location for your Airbnb! It was so quiet and lovely. The bedroom was the main room, the bed was very comfortable, and room had plenty of room for suitcases. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a styrofoam cooler if you need to use while out seeing the parks. Fridge was cool enough to make ice every 12 hours. The front porch and back porch were great in the morning and the afternoons under 90, there was usually a breeze. Once it started hitting in the upper 90's and up, we were inside in the afternoon/evenings until sundown. Great stargazing! Washer & dryer easily accessible.

We were very pleased and really impressed with how peaceful and beautiful the casita was in the unique desert surroundings. We felt like we were all alone in a beautiful desert world. Did some astrophotography while my husband enjoyed a lovely glass (or two) of wine. The wonderful casita was just right for two of us with a comfortable bed with beautiful linens, a functional modern kitchen, and nice shower with cozy towels and robes. Plus, it was very close to the fun town of Terlingua where we had a great dinner at the Starlight, made friends with fellow travelers, listened to good live music, and had a terrific breakfast the next morning. Lovely, special place under dark skies.
