Great short stay - I wanted to get there earlier but our county lost power for 2 days prior to my trip and so my opportunity to explore Limestone was cut - but Tim and Sandy were very kind and even called me to see when I would be checking in - when I explained to them my situation, they were very understanding and even stayed up for me and my guest to arrive when we rolled in at 10 pm - Tim even gave us the whole tour! Very interesting historical spot - we hope to be back to spend more time in the area! Thank you!

this place is amazing and the owners even more so. the base is the coolest thing to explore and see. Tim is full of knowledge about the lodging and the base history. Pay him for a tour, and your time in limestone will be memorable and fun. I will be back very soon!

Awesome refurbished Air Force Base officer’s quarters. Just like when I was on active duty. We’ll done! Almost a museum.

Oh, where to begin... my son and I decided to stay here and support the local community while we were checking out the local college. I wanted to find the hotel during the day so we arrived early, dropped our stuff off, and headed out to view the college. Everyone was extremely pleasant that I dealt with. I really didn’t pay much attention to our surroundings but was a little disappointed when we got there because the rooms didn’t look anything like the pictures at all. We arrived back well after dark. It’s located on an old Air Force Base and it was pretty creepy even driving to the hotel while driving through the base. But whatever, that didn’t really bother me. To sum it up before I even continue, if you’re looking for an experience that is very similar to the movie The Shining, this is the place for you! When we walked down the hallway to our room almost all the doors to the other rooms were open and dark. The hallway was very dimly lit. When we got in our room I started to unpack our staff. My son had one room and we had a connecting bathroom that led to my room. I tried turning on the lights in my room and only one worked. The lamps next to the bed, one had a broken off switch and the other one I could turn on but it flickered and went out. I tried it three different times. The pillows on my bed were covered with small black hair on both sides. The closet door was held closed with a wedge so it wouldn’t come open. I had to have my son come in and put the tiles back into place because there were several that were popped up and open in the ceiling. The holes in the chairs I could overlook. There were some bugs towards the ceiling and I was alright with not checking them out closer. I ended up being so creeped out that I packed my stuff up and locked my room that went into his and told him I was staying with him. After looking at his room the carpets were extremely stained, there were additional holes in the chairs, this room did have a TV unlike my room, the carpet was pulling up in several places, the wallpaper was peeling, there was plywood over a portion of his window that looked outside. For $124 with tax it was not even close to being worth my money. I couldn’t even think about sleeping in a room with these issues and that definitely showed the age of it being 30+ years old and never being maintained. I asked him what he thought about staying there, he is 17 years old, he told me it was really creepy. I agreed with him as I was concerned on several different levels. We decided to check out a little after 8 PM and drove home which was over 4 hours and didn’t get home until 1:30 in the morning. I often tent out during the summer so for me to leave without staying it has to be pretty bad. I am a really understanding person and will give anyone a certain amount of grace but this was the worst place in all my years I have ever stayed. It was gross.

if you are a history buff, this place will give you chills as you drive the on base streets and consider all the activities of a SAC base during the cold war.
