This cottage is amazing, really beautiful very clean. The garden is beautiful the grass is so soft and bouncy the kids loved it. The cottage has lots of outdoor seating and a coal bbq it’s also has amazing views all around. You got cows and sheep in view lots of beautiful flowers, hills, birds and trees. The cottage it self is very clean. You have a fireplace, great heating and two bathrooms. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Anne is an amazing host we was welcomed with tea and biscuits which was nice after a long drive.

Lovely secluded cottage in rolling hills with lovely outlook. Cosy and warm for our winter stay with open fire adding to the ambiance. Immaculately clean and well appointed and a welcoming host.

The cottage was great, leaving no amenities to be desired. There was plenty of space for 6 people and it was possible to sleep each person without needing to share any beds, thanks to the sofa bed in the sitting room. We were also easily able to park three cars outside. The views were great and the location was incredibly quiet and peaceful - perfect for sitting on the table out the front to have a relaxing breakfast. There are a couple of points that are worth noting, however. The actual location of the cottage is about a 12 mile drive east of where Airbnb says it is, thus is to the east of Kendal, not the west. This by no means reduced the enjoyment of our trip, but it does add about 20 minutes on to the time it takes to get to Windermere from what we were expecting. Secondly, the small road that takes you to the cottage is not exactly paved well. Worth bearing in mind if you are intending to take a low and/or stiff sports car.
