We enjoyed John and his teams hospitality, walks and swims at the beach which is on the doorstep, and the delicious breakfasts and dinner. John was good to help with organising transport on a few occasions for us. He also gave great local tips for places to visit. Very kind and gentle people who took a genuine interest in us as their guests. The room was adequate and looked out onto the nice garden. As others have mentioned, the bathroom lets the place down (not totally private as it opens at the ceiling to the next door unit, and the shower head was broken), and as an important part of feeling comfortable in a space, it would be good to see it upgraded hopefully soon. We thought the stay would be more aligned to a yoga retreat given the name and description but it was more like a homestay / BnB. I'm sure if we arranged it, then there could have been some yoga but this wasn't offered. Overall we enjoyed our stay but for the price we felt the facilities could have been better.

John’s place is a beautiful quiet location with a big garden and palm trees right by the beach . It’s very chilled and relaxing to hang out there. The little houses we slept in were great with a porch and chairs to look out on to the water. The breakfast was traditional Indian food , very tasty with fresh juices every morning . The only thing I was missing was the yoga classes . His wife ( the teacher) wasn’t around . Maybe Christmas timings were the reason but I was a little disappointed because it’s called yoga retreat . Everything else was amazing with a secluded beach to ourselves and a good walk to allepey beach or a short tuckruck ride to Marari beach . John was very helpful with his suggestions and travel arrangements . I would definitely come again .

John and his son were very responsive from the start. They made us feel at home and comfortable. All our queries were answered. Place is comfortable and earthy. Anyone looking for a simple and peaceful living can sign up for this experience. Most importantly smile on john face and two friendly dogs makes this experience more remembered.
