Villa Fornells, is a spacious ,modern, beautiful design home with breath-taking sea views ,the perfect retreat and at only a 5 minute walk to the charming fisherman’s village of Fornells offering gourmet restaurants and shops. The location, a biosphere reserve, offers many water sports (boating, windsurf, sailing, waterskiing, scubadiving), nature walks, golf, all in a unique and stunning setting, with amazing beaches close by. Your stay will be a wonderful experience to remember. Villa Fornells The villa itself is of contemporary cubic design of recent construction with large open spaces, comfortable furnishing and natural finishes . It offers different cozy areas to relax and enjoy the magnificent views, areas to work with tranquility, surrounded by an immense Mediterranean sky, areas to completely unwind on holiday. The house has two floors; On the top main floor there is a spacious living and dining area, open plan, with ample natural light coming through large glass sliding doors that seamlessly connect the interior and beautiful exterior .The large dinning area has two large designer joined tables (seats 10 comfortably ), the spacious living room has a comfortable corner sofa with fabulous views of the sea. The large glass doors can be completely opened to include the panoramic view even more. A guest bathroom and kitchen are on this floor too. The kitchen is equipped with all the modern appliances that guests may need and features a central cooking island with stools. On this floor there are several exits to the exterior to access the infinity pool and the exterior sitting and dinning area , located under a large porch near the kitchen. Beautifully designed, the exterior features a large pergola beside a gardened, cool stretch of lawn, outdoor furnishing such as sofas and cushioned chairs and an attractive coffee table which sit by the infinity pool, surrounded by sun loungers from which to take in the unbeatable views. In the exterior there is also a BBQ area, a separate paneled dry clothing line area , outdoor shower and a closet for pool towels. On the first floor there are 5 bedrooms surrounding a big central TV living room area with a large work table, gym area with two patios on either side. All the bedrooms are ensuite, sleep two, with individual beds except for one with a queen size bed. The bathrooms are fully equipped and have modern showers. There are air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room and spacious built in closets. As you enter the villa´s premise from the street, you are greeted by a grand exterior and gardened stairway that leads straight to the top pool area. On the left of this entrance, is a separate exterior garage for two cars with its own private automatic garage door. The main entrance door to the villa is on this ground floor. As you enter the hall you find the interior stairway and elevator. This villa is the ideal place for those looking for a tranquil and luxurious stay.

Thank you to Gonzalo and his family for sharing his wonderful and super stylish home. It has most incredible views and is designed fabuloulsy throughout. There is a pool that looks out over the bay in every direction and that you can do full laps in, and very chilled lounging area beside it - with lots of shade. Its situated in a lovely quiet part of the island, with lots of beautiful and wild beaches within 15 min drive. Gonzalo was very helpful sending restauant recommendations ahead of our trip, responding swiftly to any questions we had re the area whilst we were there and accomodating late check out.
Gonzalo has been a wonderful host throughout our stay. He was very reactive, always finding solutions to our every needs before and during the stay. And the villa looks even better in real life than in the pictures !

Villa Fornells is modern, spacious, comfortable and elegant, located in a small quiet, safe and pleasant residential area. It is surrounded by the beauty of the Bay of Fornells, a stunning natural scenery and relaxed atmosphere just 5 minutes from the beautiful beach of Tirant.
It is a home from which to easily explore and experience the richness of this unique secluded biosphere reserve in the Mediterranean, not yet discovered by major tourist operators, the ideal destination for those looking to escape the rush to a quiet paradise.
A 5-minute stroll takes you down to the small, quaint whitewashed
fishermen ’s village and port of Fornells where you will find a variety of local restaurants (most seafront) offering very good Mediterranean food, two supermarkets , a bakery, fashion and souvenir shops and boutiques.
If you prefer a light meal, at midday or evening you can stroll down to the center and also enjoy a drink and some tapas at the waterfront or at some local bar .Two really good local homemade ice-cream parlors offer delicious ice creams.
If water sport activities is what you need, or wanting to try, just below the house , by the seafront ,there is a windsurf ,sailing , water-skiing center where you can hire or book for lessons.
Right besides this place, is a scuba diving, kayak and paddleboard hiring center too.
Those who wish to hire a boat can do so right in the port of Fornells
and if you wish to be taken for a boat ride there is a company that offers this service as well .The magnificent coast with its majestic cliffs, beautiful coves and sandy beaches are a must to discover and admire ! Swimming in this transparent seawater is unforgettable.
By car you can reach all the other gorgeous beaches around the island, roads being well signaled in most cases.
From the villa you can enjoy a quick early morning swim as there are 3 easy concrete platforms from which to plunge into the sea right in the village ! Otherwise you can swim in the beautiful sandy beach of Tirant, only 5-minute drive away.
For nature lovers and walkers or cyclers there are many lovely tracks
to enjoy too. Bikes can be hired nearby.
Starting right from the house one can head to the wild coast path from Fornells to Playas de Fornells , a 30 minute walk one way , not recommended for bikes,) with the grand open sea views with the lighthouse cliff of Caballeria in the background, this is a great start !
The forest interior walk (1 hour one way) at the end of the bay is also a must. Ok for bikes too. It takes you to the gorgeous Son Saura sandy Beach where you can refresh with a cool drink at the beach bar while you enjoy the emerald sea view.
Golf players can also have fun at the Son Park Golf Club, a 17 min drive away and there is a horse back riding center in the town of Ferreries, 20 minute drive away, horse back riding trips along the coast can also be arranged.
In Mercadal, the near by interior village, there is a local food and craft market once per week which is amusing to see and to combine with a good coffee and ensaimada (local delicacy bun ) at almost any outdoor cafe.
Beyond, to the east, only 28 minutes by car, is the beautiful port and town of Mahon, with its British colonial arquitecture, enigmatic streets, beautiful fish market, good restaurants and great shopping. Its magnificent port is the second largest natural port in the world! A visit to La Mola, an impressive fortress at the entrance of the port is very interesting .
To the west, 36 klms away by car, is the aristocratic beautiful Ciudadela, with its noble palaces, cathedral, squares and cool narrow winding quaint streets...almost one feels going back in time! Here too one can enjoy good restaurants and shopping.
And if you are curious about arqueology, in Menorca you can discover around 1500 prehistoric Talayotic sites, most of which can be visited .It has been proposed as a firm candidate to be declared World Heritage site by the Unesco!
In summary, as you can see, there is plenty to do, see and most of all enjoy to make it an unforgettable stay !
