We stayed here in April with our young children and had a wonderful time. The sea views from the entire front of the house are beautiful and when we visited the beach was quiet in the day and deserted in early evening/morning so we had it to ourselves. The sea is excellent for swimming in as it is very calm and not too deep. We loved the garden with its playground and different eating areas so you could always find a shady or sheltered spot to eat no matter what time of day. The house was clean and the host had left a few food essentials for us in the fridge and cupboard so we had something to eat after our journey. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels for all the swimming/beach visits. The garage was also well equipped with bikes and pool toys. Overall we had a fantastic time!

Stavros Villa was absolutely amazing for our family vacation. Dimitri and his family were very helpful and responsive. Our ferry came in very late at night and they met us with some basic provisions for the morning. The property is great for kids- playground, foosball, basketball, table tennis, pool, bikes, snorkel gear…. A child’s dream. The property was very secure, so felt comfortable with kids running around. The beach is just out front and great for snorkeling. There are several great restaurants within walking distance with fresh fish. We cooked several nights and the house is well equipped with the essentials. There is also a grill outback, but we didn’t use. Laundry is easy. The pool is great for relaxing- including a area for shade. The house itself itself is very unique and has a lot of character. Dimitri and crew came mid week to change out sheets and towels. Chania is an easy 25 min drive to the center. We were sad to leave- I hope to come back with my family again.

The house and yard are even better than the pictures. The kitchen has everything you need and our host even had some simple breakfast items for us, as our flight came in late. The beach is quiet and lovely and thee is an awesome restaurant just across the bay. The area is quiet and sleepy and we loved being able to play in the yard and on the beach with our children. My husband was ill on the trip and the island went through a very nasty storm that took out power for a few days. Our hosts were unbelievably helpful and kind in assisting my husband and our family when we didn't have power in our house. Our situation was not ideal, but the house was lovely and we would stay again if we come back to Crete.

Fantastically equipped villa, perfectly located for an unforgettable family holiday. We were lucky enough to stay here for a week at the start of May 2022, it was our first time to Crete so we were a little unsure what to expect weather wise so early in the spring but it was mainly very good and the beach was nice and quiet, I’m sure it gets a lot busier in the summer months. The outdoor space is absolutely brilliant, the kids loved playing on the climbing frame, swings and basketball court as well as having games of hide and seek in the garden. It was really good to have both the gates closed and know that they were playing around the house but couldn’t get out anywhere. The multiple outdoor tables and seating areas meant that we could always find somewhere to eat, either in the shade or sun and the BBQ and Pizza oven were brilliant...although we ate out most evenings. The interior of the house was also maintained to a very high standard and everything was very well equipped. It was kept extremely clean (which must be quite a task!) and the midweek laundry and tidy up was very much appreciated. The owners left us a selection of items for our arrival (milk, bread, eggs, orange juice, wine, coffee etc) which was really great and meant we didn’t have to scramble to the nearest shop as soon as we arrived. Their son Kostas welcomed us to the house when we arrived and was so helpful during our stay, he gave us some excellent tips on places to go and restaurants to eat at and was always on hand if we needed anything. It was my daughters 7th birthday while we were there and Kostas and his family organised a lovely cake for her with candles which she really enjoyed, such a lovely touch! Fabio at the management company was also very helpful with any queries we had before travelling, he set up with our hire car but also offered boat trips, cooks to come in etc. The area is really lovely, the beach was very clean and although the sea was slightly chilly, it is crystal clear. The snow capped mountains in the centre of the island are in the background and really add to the dramatic landscape. There are many fantastic restaurants nearby, one is even at the windmill a short walk around the bay, definitely recommended. If there happens to be a wind coming in from the sea at Stavros, there’s another beach about 20 minutes away called Marathi which we always found to be perfectly calm on these days due to it’s position, there is also a fantastic fish restaurant there so well worth a trip. There are two mini marts within a 2 minute car journey of the house, which are good for picking up essentials and then bigger supermarkets on the way to Chania, which take about 20mins to get to. It really is ideally situated for a fantastic holiday, we cannot wait to go back.
