A charming, lovingly restored farmhouse with many original features. Le Ségala is a tradtional French farmhouse which has been upgraded for 2022. It has two new bathrooms and newly laid travertine throughout the ground floor. It's a perfect combination of the old and the new, with modern tastes and character features. It has two large bedrooms, one of which has a new kingsize bed beneath an old inglenook fireplace. Surrounded by rolling countryside there are wonderful rural views in every direction. Guests will have exclusive use of the whole property, gardens and 8x4m heated swimming pool, which is fenced for safety. A mature fig tree on the terrace provides natural shade from the sun. An idyllic base for nature lovers, walkers or cyclists. The Circuit des Dolmens and the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela are on your doorstep.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour chez Carolyn. Tout était parfait. La maison est décorée avec goût, elle est chaleureuse et très bien équipée. L’environnement est vraiment reposant, idéal pour les amoureux de la nature. 🌳 Nous avons également apprécié la piscine, très agréable en cette période de fortes chaleurs. Beaucoup de balades à faire à proximité du gîte. La communication avec Carolyn a été parfaite. Elle a été très réactive et à l’écoute de nos besoins. Nous recommandons vivement la maison de Carolyn et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
Beautiful place that gave us a perfect base for our relaxing week away. We stayed two adults, two children (aged 4 and 5). I knew the house would be remote, so had anticipated that we wouldn’t be walking distance to any restaurants. However the boys loved the pool and we went out each day to explore the stunning villages nearby. The house was extremely clean and well equipped. When we arrived the house alarm was going off - but after quick contact with the hosts it was easily sorted and we managed to settle in straight away. There are some beautiful walks around the house and the boys loved collecting the figs from the garden! A very relaxing week away from the English rain!

Carolyn's place is perfect if you're looking for peace and tranquility. The house is lovely, tastefully furnished, well equipped - a real home from home - with a pool! We spent a fabulous week there and are planning to return in the future. We can highly recommend the house and area.
We had a wonderful week at Carolyn’s place. It was the perfect holiday for our family of four ( we have two kids aged 4&7). They loved being in the pool and it was the perfect size for both their ages! I loved the view, surrounded by countryside& extremely peaceful! The house itself is extremely charming, well furnished and equipped. There is a gate to the top floor for anyone with small kids worried about the stairs. A car is a must! The supermarket which is a 10 min drive is a big one, you will find everything you need!! We enjoyed day trips to Rocamadour& Gouffre de Padirac, the prehistoric dino park and the Animal Park of Gramat. ( all trips found in the brochures Carolyn has at the house). There was a lot more on offer, but these suited us! We also enjoyed the two restaurants that she suggested! This region seems to know food, we ate& drank well!! Would highly recommend this place! We left a happy family 😃

Le Ségala is 5km from the market town of Prayssac on the river Lot. It has a thriving weekly market every Friday selling delicious local produce and is recognised as one of the best in the region. With a choice of boulangeries, cafe bars, restaurants and supermarkets Prayssac has everything you need within less than ten minutes by car. Surrounded by vineyards there are several domaines where you can sample the region's Cahors wine. The historic town of Cahors is less than half an hour by car.
Leisure: There are kayaks and boats for hire just across the river Lot at Anglars-Juillac and there are various leisure facilities and a sandy beach at Le Lac Vert 15 minutes away at Catus.
Restaurants: The area is renowned for its gastronomy. The welcoming Hostellerie de Goujounac is just 5km away. La Récréation at Les Arques is wonderful and just 15 minutes by car, as is the Michelin starred Le Gindreau in Saint-Médard.
The Dordogne and the picturesque villages of La Roque Gageac, Domme and Sarlat are around 40km north.
Nearest airports are Bergerac 1h 15m, Brive 1h 20m and Toulouse 1h 40m.
