If we could give 6 stars we would! James was the perfect host, we were able to leave our luggage after an early flight arrival. James gave us directions to the skytrain, recommended cafes and restaurants, provided tea bags and milk when we asked and let us meet their beautiful rescue dog Baxter. If we come back to Vancouver one day, this will be out top choice for accommodation 😊

It was quiet, so close to Trout lake, plenty spacious with great outdoor patio.

My wife and I stayed at James place for two weeks. It was a very comfortable little garden suite. It was nice and bright and well equipped with everything needed for our stay. James was very friendly and easy to reach if questions arose. It was very close to commercial drive and a short drive to our son's place. The mattress was a bit firm for us, but besides that we really enjoyed our stay! We will most likely stay again.

I stayed for a month and really enjoyed the location near my daughter’s and the Trout Lake Centre activities. The apartment was very bright and comfortable.

Jame’s apartment was as described in the listing. It was super clean, kitchen was cleverly designed and well equipped, close to all amenities and walkable to restaurants and transportation. We always found a spot to park in the same block as the apartment too. It was quiet and peaceful. The lighting was really nice as we could dim all the ample overhead lighting. The apartment is a basement walkout, but has many windows so is quite bright. Easy keypad for entry and exit, clear instructions on how to use. James was a great communicator and we got to meet him our last night there - very friendly. The only negative for us was the mattress, it was super firm which we aren’t use to. We were just there for two nights so it wasn’t a big deal, but I think if we stayed again I would request a foam topper.
