Property could do with an overall deep clean and maintenance- garden unkept overgrown and lots of full bins - party in neighbouring house finished at 5am (understand not in control of this) - tv signal kept dropping so unable to watch tv missed the rugby World Cup final

We had a really lovely stay here. The property exceeded expectations. I stayed here with my 4 young children. The property was clean and odour free. Comfortable beds and clean linen. Carpets seemed new and clean. Easy parking and check-in with key safe. House was clutter free which makes for an easier check-out.

This is a very new and well appointed house in a very quiet location. The check-in was really efficient and we had a couple of courtesy calls to make sure all was well. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and all the tech worked well. The garden was south facing and a nice sun trap. The beds were comfortable and the water hot. However, it's the little things that make the big differences and, sadly, in this case, not in a good way. It was really let down by the quality of the everyday things - the polyester duvet covers and pillow cases, no bath mats or tea towels. A really grotty selection of tin and plastic handled and stained cutlery, and a selection of saucepans that might have been bought at a student's leaving sale, one baking tray and no serving dishes. The glass selection was wine or pint, nothing suitable for soft drinks or for children. There were five kitchen knives, all as blunt as sponges and no sharpener. Two tin openers, neither of which worked. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. The shame of it is that for the cost of a night's accommodation, all this could be put right. I appreciate that some people are less respectful than others when staying away, but that is no reason to scrimp at these rates.
