The apartment is exactly as described: well kept, clean, spacious, comfortable and light! The kitchen has quality pots/pans, dishes, glasses, silverware and appliances in great condition. The location is excellent! It feels very safe at all times. It’s at walking distance to historic sites, shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies, and close to a parking garage. João is very responsive and helpful! The one drawback, mentioned in previous reviews, is the humidity. Towels do not dry overnight; the master bathroom has no working vent; and the second bedroom had water damage during our stay, and we ended up isolating that room. To be fair, I did not report the issue when I discovered it. It was on our second night, we only had a few days left, and I did not want to waste them by having to pack up and move, so we just closed the room. I would highly recommend the place, were it not for the humidity. João told me that the water issue was being repaired the day we left.

Excellent place to stay in the centre of Ponta Delgada! We loved the town and the island of San Miguel. The apartment is very urban, but still quiet, light and airy. It was also very clean, tidy and well stocked with plates, kitchen equipment, etc. Joao recommended a car rental agency with very good rates and responded quickly when we were initially unable to get into the flat.
