The view from the rental was spectacular. The apartment is modern and lovely. We only used the dusty rose bedroom & the bed was very comfortable. The fireplace remote gave you options for decorative flames or warm flames. In addition to a regular fridge there was a wine fridge and beverage area. Bring your own: charcoal for the grill; wood for the firepit. The ride to the center of town took 10-15 min. & was near the entrance to Skyline Drive at Shenandoah National Park, as well as Martin's Supermarket, gas stations, restaurants, etc. The rangers at the Dickey Ridge Visitor Center were very helpful and provided trail maps for various hikes based upon skills, interests, and travel distance. Luray Caverns was about a 35-40 minute drive each way. The caverns are spectacular. Ticket includes museum, historical "village" and a few other museums. Our afternoon was very enjoyable. If my husband wasn't too tired, I would have spent more time!

One of my favorite places I have ever stayed! The inside is very clean and the surroundings are so peaceful. I loved having a view of the mountains and access to the back yard. The host is very responsive but we didn’t need a thing. It was great to relax here after a day of hiking. It’s about 10-15 mins to town and to Skyline drive.

A beautiful Chalet! We’ve gone twice and will go again!! The fire pit was a nice addition from the last time we went. Everything was perfect!!
