Spotlessly clean, comfortable barn conversion with everything you could need. Everything in the cottage is of a high quality and with an environmentally friendly ethos. The shower is exceptionally good! Veronica and Jo are great hosts, friendly, helpful and informative without being in the slightest bit intrusive. My son was unfortunately unwell for the first two days and they went out of their way to support us. We even had a doorstep visit from the beautiful rescue donkeys to cheep him up! My daughter was a bit wary and they were brilliant with her, patient and kind. We had a tour of the farm and got to meet the animals which was one of the highlights of our holiday. The location is both remote and central, perfect for local walks and local attractions. Would highly recommend Heights of Abraham which is just as 15 minute drive away. Lovely local farm shops and restaurants and cafes. Lots to do despite the fact it rained for most of our trip! Will definitely be returning

Definitely recommend Acorn Cottage. Beautiful surroundings, comfortably furnished. tastefully decorated bright and airy feel, warm and cozy. Also with the added benefit of an EV charger available to use for a small fee.

We had a wonderful stay in Acorn Cottage. It was so clean it felt like we were the first people to stay there. The small garden is enclosed which was great with small children. Veronica and Jo were friendly and really helpful. The guide they have put together was exceptionally helpful. It is worth noting that access to the small holding is with hosts only.

This has to be the most idyllic and delightful cottage we’ve ever stayed in! If we were to buy a cottage in Derbyshire we’d want it to be just like this! The restoration and renovation was beautifully done. Very well equipped. Comfortable and gave you an instant feeling of being home. Everything was clean and well laid out. Loads of room in the cottage and to park your vehicle outside the door. Cute, private garden and lovely gardens all around on the property. Cute neighborhood with very friendly locals! Veronica and Jo were excellent hosts! Fun to chat with and gave great recommendations for things to do. Wonderful ladies who helped you feel right at home. You’re greeted with fresh eggs, bread and local milk in the kitchen. We will definitely stay here again in the future:)

We loved staying at the cottage - well located, so much space (including our for two year old cockapoo, Chutney and his boundless energy) and lots of lovely towns and country manors to explore nearby! Definitely one we’ll come back to!
