Surrounded by olive trees and with a breathtaking panoramic view, this solar powered house will not cease to surprise you! Kitchen and living room are not separated by any wall and this creates an open and comfortable environment. We grow our food in an organic way and we have 8 chickens and 2 goats, which provide us with fresh milk and eggs every day. So don't waste your time in crowded resorts and boring apartments. Come stay at our home, meet our charming goats and experience something new! On the ground floor there is the living room (with a sofa bed) and the kitchen (well equipped and with a large table). On the first floor there is a bedroom, a bathroom and a terrace. 4 big windows give you 180 degrees of vision over the sea and mountain. Unlike the village of Agia Galini, up here we have (most of the time) a wonderful sea breeze. The big size of the windows allows the breeze inside the house. This keeps it cool naturally. During the winter, the windows are kept closed and the house warms up naturally, like a greenhouse. This means that we do not produce any CO2 to climatize the house, making it a perfect ecological solution.

Ein Juwel an Kretas Südküste! Wunderschöner Weitblick, ruhig und idyllisch. Federico schickt vorab ein pdf Dokument mit vielen Tipps für Strände und Restaurants in der Nähe. Das war großartig! Die Ziegen sind sehr süß und der selbstgemachte Ziegenjoghurt ist extrem lecker. Klare Empfehlung!
Unser Aufenthalt bei Federico war großartig. Die Unterkunft ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos! Der ganze Ort ist sehr inspirierend. Federico und seine Familie waren unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit, er hatte auch tolle Tipps für die Umgebung. Es gab frisches Quellwasser und einen kleinen Kräutergarten und morgens frischen selbstgemachten Ziegenjoghurt. Wenn wir wieder in Kreta sind, würden wir definitiv wieder dort bleiben.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei Federico und seiner Familie. Das Haus ist toll. Wenn man morgens mit einem Kaffee auf der Terrasse startet und auf das Meer schaut, kann der Tag nur gut werden! Federico hat uns eine wahnsinnige Übersicht an Tipps gegeben und wir haben viele davon gemacht, es hat sich alles gelohnt (Platania-Schlucht wandern und im Agoni Essen Pro-Tipps von uns, besonders als Vegetarierin). Die Wohnung war 1a in Schuss und als Unterkunft wirklich einmalig und wir werden sicherlich irgendwann noch einmal wiederkommen :)
Thank you Federico for letting us stay with you. We loved every minute we had here. The views are even better than the photos. At night there is total silence. In the day just the birds and insects. If you want to get away from the busy side of the island you will find no better place. However, it is still in driving distance from many interesting places. Federico and Marta made us very welcome and we really enjoyed the home produce. We also loved how they are living as sustainably as possible. If you enjoy the night sky the view is amazing with no light pollution. We slept a couple of nights outside which was a lovely experience. Several beaches nearby which were very quiet or even on our own. Local port town is lovely and worth exploring. As are the little villages nearby which are natural, rural and unspoilt. Definitely sharing this place with our friends.

The nice thing about my neighborhood is that there is nobody else.
The only sounds you'll hear are those of leaves in the wind and crickets.
We do not even hear the cars as we are 100 meters from a road with little traffic. It is the ideal place to disconnect from the bustle of the city and relax.
At night, when you turn off the lights, it's so dark that you will see stars like never before.
You need to have a car (10 minutes from the center of Agia Galini and 8 minutes from the village of Melampes). It takes less than 10 minutes to reach the beach of Agios Georgios (much nicer than the beach of Agia Galini)
Otherwise, on foot, it takes at least 40 minutes (both for the village and for the beach)
