We loved staying at Furnas Lake - it was the perfect accommodation to relax in after a day of exploring the beautiful East of the island. Plenty of space to park your rental car, and easy to get into Furnas town, but the accommodation is on the edge of a stunning lake, and some of the intriguing calderas are just a 45 minute walk away. We received some great recommendations of places to go when we checked in, one of which we’d never heard of but turned out to be one of our fave experiences while there. Beautiful place to stay, with very friendly hosts. We returned home feeling extremely well rested, despite all the hiking and adventure!

Wundervoller Ort und tolle Menschen. Essen auf hohem Niveau kombiniert mit sehr viel Herz. Einer der Orte, den man eigentlich am Liebsten als Geheimtip für sich behält. Traumhaft!

We stayed in Cedar Villa and it was amazing. The location of the Village is fantastic- sorounded with forest, animals (goats, ducks, chicken, coack...), fresh air.. There is also pool at the property which is really nice after a long day of exploring the Furnas. Nearby (3min drive) is the Grena park, the only wildlife park on Azores and the lake (3min walk to the shore). The property also provides dinner & breakfast. Villa is clean, spacious, with enormous windows to enjoy the nature, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, car park just behind the accommodation. Price is not the most affordable, but the Village is definetly worth the visit- we would recommend staying here, kids (and we) loved it.
