What a beautiful home! We felt very privileged to stay in this antique home on a beautiful setting. We loved having access to the gardens after hours, the house is very big and while it’s very old it has very modern bathrooms. The kitchen is big and has every appliance/ piece of equipment you could ask for. The whole experience was wonderful and we would stay here again.

Incredible experience. One of the most beautiful places on the entire island! To wake up and have coffee and look out at Furnas lake was an incredible treat. The house is historic, a bit bigger than we had imagined from the photos. Would stay here again without hesitation!

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, you cannot do better than this! The house is truly spectacular, centered right in the heart of lagoa do furnas, incredibly private, it felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Walkable trails right from our doorstep, as well as an easy drive to Furnas for hot springs, gardens, and groceries. The house itself was charming, very clean, and with a well-stocked kitchen. The food basket was a lovely addition to our stay! We had been concerned about it being moldy as my partner has asthma, but the caretakers have clearly heard and responded to the feedback of it feeling damp in the house. There are three dehumidifiers and mini-split A/C units in many of the rooms which kept the house dry and fresh. We did have to empty the water caches multiple times a day on wetter days, but that was an easy job! This was the least musty accommodation we stayed in on the island and all of us agreed we wished we had stayed here longer. Thank you, Margarida!

What can I say about this wonderful place.. It is simply breathtaking to wake up and be in such a mystifying place. I was greeted by a very friendly person that works the garden behind the property and she was extremely nice and helpful. The place was incredible. They brought over bread and cheese, jams and drinks which was an unexpected surprise! The amenities include use of kayaks and bikes and basically your backyard is a wonderful garden with a stunning waterfall. Hopefully the peacocks and chickens will give you a visit like they did me. Just be wary that in November that there is a lot of fog at night. It’s pitch black so just be wary of when you arrive at night.

A truly unique and Great location and perfect experience thanks to Silvia. The house is super clean and cosy, we felt very well looked after and loved our weekend.
