Our stay with the Geart family was just delightful. The son Illir was an excellent communicator. We were greeted upon arrival at the parking garage next door by his father who helped us get safely parked and to the family courtyard next door. We stayed at an apartment beside Mama Geart’s lovely flower garden. Illir asked if we would like breakfast prepared each day which were glad to pay a small fee for and what a wonderful treat we got. Homemade phyllo with cheese, homemade bread with jams, fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, etc. All prepared and served by the loving hands of Mama Geart. We were the recipients of amazing Albanian hospitality. The apartment was spotless and had all the amenities. It was decorated with family treasures in Albanian style. The location is great within walking distance of restaurants and all the sites. We drove up to the Castle as was raining. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend if you are seeking a true Albanian experience.

Ilir was very easy to communicate with and super responsive. The location was excellent and walking distance to everywhere, either Berat castle or the river. We were able to walk to dinner to very local spots. I'm glad we chose this location rather than up by the castle, as this was much more convenient to everything. His parents met us at the parking entrance where we parked our car in an underground lot, and we walked maybe 5 min up the pathway to the house. We only stayed one night. There was shampoo and conditioner! Usually you only get shampoo lol. Anyway, we had a great overall stay and saw their three turtles on our way out.

Un très bon accueil de la part des parents de Llir, l'appartement est très bien situé dans Berat, vous pouvez aller découvrir la ville à pieds sans problème. Je conseille fortement de prendre le petit déjeuner préparer avec amour par la maman de Llir le lendemain matin, il était délicieux et copieux!! Un plus dans le jardin ou vous pourrez prendre le petit déjeuner et ou vous pourrez découvrir les superbes tortues de la famille. Je recommande cet hôte à 100%

A wonderful, quiet place in Berat. Best for holidays. Great people and super host. I recommend to book accommodation with breakfast because it was delicious.
