Wow! What a great find! This is a beautiful Scottish style home with three floors, spacious dining room, a kitchen full of amenities and each room with a style and character. The third floor has a great view of the Harbor. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. I have family in in St.John’s and in Nfld. I haven’t been here since 2005 and so this was a nice experience to explore St.John’s as a tourist. My family rented the entire house for the week for a family affair. The dining room was the perfect gathering area with enough seats and space. Several amenities. Centrally located, it is in walking distance to downtown and the harbor. Nice, safe and quiet neighborhood. Love the colors of the houses! We would love to stay here again on our next visit. Thanks again Audrey!

Cantwell house is ideally situated in St. John’s and is walkable to most of the main highlights of the city. Parking was on the street, but we had no trouble finding a spot. If you are driving, the navigation of the area around the house is a bit of a challenge. (Not a reflection on the space, more a caution to people new to driving in St. John’s - lots of hills and tricky turning situations). Rooms are spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the whole house, especially the upper floor balcony. We walked to great shopping, restaurants and tourist sites. If you have any accessibility concerns, there is a bed room with ensuite on the main/entry level of the home, but be prepared for many stairs for the other levels of the house. My one “wish” is that there is a living space that is more accessible on the main floor — there is a dining room, but we struggled not having a gathering space with a group of nine people. Overall, Audrey was great to deal with and we had a great stay.

This old Victorian style house has lots of character which definitely compliments a visit to St John's. Audrey is very responsive & goes beyond with little things like fresh cookies, continental breakfast, city maps, games, & sweet Newfie décor. Location is around the corner from Bannerman park & up the hill from the harbour/George St. Walking to restaurants is usually under 10 mins (uphill going home). The house itself has comfortable beds & big rooms with ensuites. We rented the entire house for a family of 15. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is bc we found it not so kid/toddler friendly without a living room space on the main floor. There is a bedroom, dining room, & small kitchen on the main floor so when we were cooking etc, we needed to put the young children somewhere & the only living room was the 3rd floor loft. Also, the temperatures were high that week & no A/C so it was quite difficult to sleep but I imagine all these old homes have this issue. The fans were helpful.

We had a great stay at Audrey’s. Our group rented the entire house and it suited us well. The place comes very well equipped. It is walking distance to all the downtown attractions however, it is a good climb back up that steep hill! The area is perfectly fine during the day but a little sketchy at night. I don’t think dangerous but….interesting! If the day is clear, the view from the 3rd floor balcony is amazing. I would definitely stay here again.
