This house has a style all of it’s own, our family home for over 25 years, we hope you’ll love it. It’s grand, stylish, quirky and fun. The retro cinema with 85-inch TV, Sky and Sonos Arc will blow you away. 3 floors, 2 stairs cases, a priest hole for the best games of hide seek. Relax and soothe your body and soul in our gazebo and waterfall hot tub. No ‘open house’ parties allowed but a perfect place for special occasions and gatherings for our house guests and mature hen parties are welcome. Our home is luxurious, spacious and fun. The grand dining hall is perfect to stage a special occasion, the table seats 15 comfortably and converts to a pool and snooker table. We are happy to host mature hen parties, the large cosy lounge with inglenook open fire and 55 inch TV, a games room with a full size table football and shelves full of board games and books will all keep you entertained and then there’s the retro cinema room and a hot tub still to explore.

“To the Manor born” was exactly how we felt. What a special place to celebrate our mum’s 70th birthday weekend. There was an abundance of equipment and supplies from crockery to coffee to kitchen foil and toilet roll. We made great use of the snooker table, kitchen, barbecue, table football, cinema room and hot tub. The weather wasn’t great but we wanted for nothing to entertain baby, teens, adults and oldies. Bedrooms were generously sized and beds very comfortable (best couple of nights sleep in months). Sherrill was a great communicator and kind throughout the booking, check in, the stay and beyond. We truly felt like she cared about our experience! We would recommend it to anyone!
Sherrill is amazing! Everything was impressive. We were a group of 13, diff ages, babies, pets and it was just perfect for everyone. The house is beautiful with such a lovely taste. Everything we need you will find there. From the day i booked Sherrill has been lovely, responsive, helpful. Just makes u feel your visit a friend then she welcomed us upon arrival with a lovely hamper full of yummies. Thankyou soo much for making my 40th celebration one that we will forever remeber.
We absolutely loved our time at the old rectory. We received super clear instructions and flexibility on arrival and check out which was much appreciated! Would recommend to others looking to host a large group.
We experienced an amazing family (15) weekend in this beautiful period house. From the moment we arrived we were all awestruck by the elegant and beautifully presented period and feature rooms throughout. We welcomed with a fantastic hamper. Most of the family stayed in the house (didn’t want to leave) and forfeited trips out to the beach and the amazing coastline (Kimmeridge Beach), to go fossil hunting. The house enabled the family to interact playing games together, like pool, snooker, chess, table football as well as hide and seek (so much fun!) and frisbee in the garden, whilst listening to the substantial collection of vinyl records. The hot tub provided a superb opportunity for the family to relax in the garden with a glass of wine or a cold beer. The house is very well stocked with clean towels and essential amenities such as glasses, cutlery and cooking utensils and equipment. Every member of the family was very impressed with house and stated they would love to return
It was a wonderful place to hold our family reunion, a beautiful home with so many facilities which catered for all ages, we had a fantastic time and Sherrill was always helpful and made sure our stay was perfect. We would definitely stay again!

The house is ideally located for a relaxed and level walk to Poole Quay with its many restaurants, shops and bars. Hamworthy park and beach is a 7 min walk as is the local Coop open 7-11. We have Chinese, Indian and the best fish and chips, All-Ways Fryday, all within easy walking distance. The open top Jurassic Explorer bus passes the end of the road and you can cycle around the backwaters of the harbour on a Beryl bike from the end of the road or outside of the coop.
There is ample free safe and secure parking within the grounds behind electric gates. Once you’ve arrived if you prefer not to drive The Quay is a easy level walk of about 20 mins, the beach is a 5 min walk as is the local Coop open 7-11 and you’ll find a bus stop at the end of the road and Beryl bikes and scooters by the Coop

Hi I’m Sherrill, my partner, Martin, our 5 children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats have loved living in The Old Rectory, it has been our family home for over 25 years. The children have flown the nest and we are planning our retirement, downsizing is a big part of the plan as we look forward to our own Gap Year. We have a narrowboat and enjoy life in the slow lane. For now I work in property and teach meditation. Martin runs a law firm and does legal stuff!
