My friends & I booked for a last minute vacation up north & it was beyond amazing! The space was perfect for the four of us, there was lots of blankets & comfort, the space was beautiful, & we absolutely loved it. If you are looking for a cute little cabin to stay in, this is it. We had no problems at all & Audra was an amazing host & we had a great weekend! We will definitely be back!
This is our second trip to stay at Audra's A-frame and I hope it will not be the last! My kids are always asking when we can go back, and it feels like coming home to your own little cabin up north. Audra is an outstanding host and goes out of her way to ensure that your stay is amazing! She allows you your privacy but is available to help if needed, and provides so many little extra amenities to make the stay so comfortable! (Breakfast, condiments, snacks, smores supplies, plenty of towels, extra blankets, games, books, toiletries, and so much more) If you think of something you need, she has already provided it or is at the ready to jump in and help. The location of the home is excellent, being in such a quiet little walkable neighborhood close to Gaylord, with convenient shopping, little stores, and lovely activities. I can't wait to return!
Audra was a great host! Her listing description was accurate for the cozy cabin! It was super well equipped with everything you could think to need. We did lots of cooking and always had what we needed, condiments, seasonings, trays, pans, tupperware, etc. She decorated the kitchen with a “Happy Birthday” banner because my boyfriend and I were there to celebrate his birthday! Very sweet touch, as well as the sparkling cider and cookies she left for us!! I highly recommend this cute cabin and will definitely come back during the summer!
We had an amazing stay in Audras beautiful A-frame home; it had everything we needed and more. We had the most relaxing stay and enjoyed exploring many of Audra's recommendations including exploring Petoskey and Boyne Falls and visiting the Elk. The cabin is exactly as the photos show, the bed is comfy and the kitchen is fully stocked. Audra was incredibly friendly, responsive and accommodating, especially when a winter storm advisory made it unsafe for us to travel for our intended dates she allowed us to reschedule. Thank you Audra for a wonderful stay!
The house was bigger than what the pictures seem like which was really nice. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. Very cozy place and the host is amazing. Perfect place to get away with your significant other, alone or even like I did with friends. Will definitely be back!!!!

I am an adventure-loving, outdoor enthusiast! I love to travel, hike, camp, explore, and enjoy beautiful places. I purchased a kayak last fall, so I'm sure I'll be enjoying that more, as well. Though I grew up in Michigan, I spent time living and working in Colorado, Grand Teton National Park, Lake Tahoe, and Redding, CA. I moved back to Michigan in 2012 - and moved North at the first opportunity (2014). I grew up visiting a cabin of a family friend, so I knew I wanted my own "Up North" cabin. I've enjoyed making that dream a reality! I also enjoy cooking, baking, playing games, reading, and relaxing. I participate with a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm and I enjoy eating well, so I spend A LOT of my time making and preserving food! I currently work as an Admissions Representative for Spring Arbor University's extension campuses in Gaylord and Traverse City. I do travel and camp as much as possible. I have found my need to travel has dwindled a bit as I have taken more time to explore Northern Michigan and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. But I still get an itch a couple of times a year. :) Last year, I was able to take an Alaskan cruise - and this past spring I rented a campervan through Airbnb and went camping in Maui! Life is always better after a good adventure. I am a huge fan of Airbnb when I travel. I love experiencing places through the eyes and experiences of the locals, whenever possible. I also typically travel on a budget, so having the opportunity to cook is hugely helpful! I am excited to be able to share my cabin with others through this site, as well!
