We loved our time at the quiet and cozy place. The hot tub in freezing temperatures was fantastic, and several sights are a surprisingly short drive away. It was very peaceful sitting in the spacious living room and enjoying the beautiful views of the large windows.

We had such a cozy stay here! We are a young couple with two young kids. Things we loved—warm retreat, beautifully decorated, quiet (albeit windy, which is pretty standard for Iceland), incredible views, hot tub!, dance parties to some great old records, beds that make you want to stay there all winter long, lighting candles for ambiance, the “cozy space” we all fought over to be in. Great location—close to many highlights and we saw the northern lights 3 times! Note that the washer/dryer does not dry well…or quickly. Everything else was perfect, thank you!!

We were five people travelling through Iceland and we had an amazing time at Elva's place. The cottage is really magical. We enjoyed northern lights from the hot tub. Would definitely recommend it!

Everything about the place is amazing. The house is as functional as it is cozy. Perfectly placed for exploration of Reykjavik and the Golden Circle
