房东非常和善友好，首日入住知道我们人多行李多还来车站接我们，晚上还开车带我们去大型超市采买，等了我们一小时。房间非常大，非常干净，传统的百年老宅，离车站步行7-8分钟，安静。房东还做了早餐给我们吃，性价比很值。

Good location for sightseeing. Takano river is just 1 minute walk from house. I enjoyed beautiful cherry blossom in the river side. 24h convenience store and vegan bakery is very useful. Just 2 minutes walk.

The location of the house is in a quiet district. The Airbnb house is in the courtyard.There are two similar houses in the courtyard, we stay in one of them. If you come in big group, you can book both units. Our house is a two storey unit with Kitchen, bath room, toilet and living hall in the ground floor. The second floor consist of two bed rooms. The host and his mother stay at opposite house in the same courtyard. We arrived Kyoto before lunch, the host allowed us to check in early before 1pm. That's save us time and we can explore more around Kyoto. Breakfast is provided but you need to inform the host in advance in order for her to prepare. We missed the first breakfast because we did not inform her the day we arrived. We had the breakfast the next day after informing her. We enjoyed the Japanese bento box breakfast she prepared. The last day morning was a National Holiday, kitchen was closed. No breakfast will be prepared for any National Holiday is stated at their Airbnb page, we totally forgotten. Riko-san is a nice and kind host. She prepared sushi party for my family on the second evening. She got a group of musical friends practising music every evening. We enjoyed the evening with delicious sushi and music with her friends. There was Karaoke session after the food as well. Not to mention the cats and rabbit. We saw three cats and one rabbit in the courtyard. The rabbit was chained, probably it may run away. One of the three cat (white one) was cute. When ever it saw us, it would lie on the floor trying to play with us. It was a nice experience staying at traditional Japanese house with such a special host.

A great traditional home with unique features. The main living rooms provided lots of space for hanging out. Riko was exceptionally hospitable and made us feel very welcome.

Quick response and lovely hospitality! Riku hosted us through New Year and invited us to a great party with really good food, meeting other travelers, and got to pet many soft cats. The location is close to a station and is within moderate walking distance to many nice shrines. The home is wonderful, with fully functional kotatsu for comfort and many other traditional style decor while still feeling modern and comfortable even during the freezing cold weather.
