Venice Castle is a really nice retreat away from all the noisy streets. Close to the bus station it is easily reached. The beach is a 5-10min TukTuk ride away. We had a warm welcome and the hosts were very helpful finding places to eat. They helped booked an amazing backwater tour for us and we had great breakfasts. Room was impeccable and AC was working wonders! Would definitely recommend it!

Mathews Stay was a comfortable one. The place is near the Jetty Road. It’s centrally located yet in a quiet neighbourhood. The room was clean, comfortable and the AC was working well. The host- Binu was very warm and helpful and also helped me book a boat the following day. For people driving down- the place has sufficient parking space. Food can be orders via apps and the main market is 5 mins walk For people looking to fire up their laptops and the internet, you get a comfortable Table and chair. it’s highly recommended to have your own data card since the internet is slow and gets disconnected several times. The feed back has been provided For tourists - this is a place I will highly recommend.

Wow wow wow, the whole family are just the most beautiful people we’ve met on our trip. They bend over backwards to help you with everything. Mathew’s nephew Akhil and his sister Shreya treated us like family and helped us book our transport for the next leg of our journey. We felt so relaxed and welcomed from the moment we met Binu on arrival and Grandma, Marykutty melted our hearts. She gave us cuddles every time we saw her, just full of love. The room was spotless and we were able to use the washing machine. Marykutty even insisted on helping us hang out our washing and folded all once dry. Houseboats are a short tuktuk away (5ish mins) and also walkable (10-15 mins) We can’t express enough what a gem this home stay is. We would definitely return and recommend this highly!!! Everyone at Venice Castle is so helpful, kind and wonderful. Our plane landed later and by the time we reached Allepey from the airport it was rather late but they accommodated us and stayed up for us (they also arranged airport transport for us). We did not have much of a plan for our trip and Akhil and Binu helped us organize everything from rickshaw rides to the beach, boating, a driver to head up to Thekkady, etc. And they did all this so easily and kindly with very short notice. Shreya and the grandmother and Joseph (and the dog, Julie) were so kind and welcoming as well! And the breakfasts were so delicious! We highly recommend staying at Venice Castle - one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in ever! Wonderful and warm hospitality, convenient location and great price! Thank you!
