Great value, conveniently located on the main street between the gas station and a grocery store, nice roof terrace, and just a few steps from Victoria's rocky beach. Since it's right on the main street, it could get a bit noisy at night on the weekends, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper like me. Hosts Ken and Carol were friendly, responsive and accommodating. Overall a great stay.

We had few criteria for our self catering stay. The main one was access to swim in the sea. We chose this place based on the photos, which showed a sandy beach with the apartments in the background. Spoke to local residents who stated that 9 years ago they had to put rocks where the sand was as it was being eroded by the sea. Ken didn't know that the locals had already told me this. He said that it was a strange thing that happened at this beach as the sand regularly disappears for a week but suddenly comes back...I listened to his cock n bull story. My wife explained to him that we like to swim several times a day and not only was there a building site with nails sticking out of boards between the apartment & this beach but the nearest alternative beach was 1.5 miles away. She asked him to remove the misleading photos of the beach from the AIRBNB advert. Ken's cleaner said the woman in the photos on the beach were her & her children taken 10 years ago. He still has these pics up.

Over-all the apartment is decent and cozy. As for hospitality, the co-host Trista is amazing, she's always available upon request and always willing to help. She is kind and helpful in ever way. I was dissapointed that there's no a/c unit in the apartment. That’s a must for a tropical island rental unit. FANS DOES NOT HELP. The sweltering heat is literally exhausting and unbearable. I expected better comfort service. And the unit is a but to pricey

Besides the minor hickups such as in and out Wifi, the need for a cooling system (AC) and the United States outlets not working in our apartment, there were no major complaints, we had a great stay at Sunset Plaza. Ken and Trisha (host) were very helpful and fulfilled all of our needs while we were there. You'll be in the perfect location to the town of Victoria and the beach is easily accessible (across the street). Transportation is a breeze, as the hotel is located along the main road, so using public transportation to get around will not be an issue. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and with the exception of the suggested minor adjustments, which I discussed with Ken, we had a fabulous time at this place and will return in the future.
