Perfect! We’ve been visiting the hills for decades. After our usual home rental was sold about 5 years ago, we’ve been on the hunt for a new Bnb. This place…wow! I think we found our new “go to” ! It’s a little further north than we are used to, but gives us a new area to explore! The house is great! Nice kitchen, very clean, absolutely HUGE living room (bigger than the pics show) with 2 sitting areas and tall cathedral ceilings. Lots of great windows too. The bathroom is a nice size, not too big or small. Easy to find trails to hike. There was a Centennial trailhead nearby. We sat on the front porch ALOT; it’s perfect for deer watching. And boy were there deer! Early morning, during the day, and every night after dinner. Our host was lightening fast to respond to us. She was very helpful when we took a detour coming to the house and needed directions. Eat at the Sugar Shack…it’s close and has fantastic, “homemade” burgers. We felt very much at home and really enjoyed our stay!

Kathleen and Wolfgang are great people! We plan on returning for another trip. Communication was exceptional and outstanding hospitality. I can’t imagine it gets any better than this. Top notch!! Highly recommend!!

If you want to experience true Black Hills living this is a wonderful experience. The cabin is hand built and full of nice things and you are secluded with no neighboring houses or cabins in sight. We also had deer and turkey's walk through everday. Very peaceful. We never met the owners but they live just up the road and we talked on the phone, they are very sweet people. A few things to note, there is no cell service out there but they do have wifi. There is a short 1/8 mile dirt road to get to the cabin. Also the cabin entrance is tight with a fence and a gate, Then a narrow log bridge. We brought a 6x8 trailer and it was difficult to get on the property. If your bringing a trailer maybe contact the owners. They may let you use another part of their property to park the trailer.

This cabin is in an incredibly beautiful setting. It is a peaceful setting and very quiet, despite being on a relatively busy road (it is an access point to a national forest lake/rec area/campground). The cabin is very spacious and very well appointed with every thing you need. It is immaculately kept and very clean. The communication from the owners came through the app, through the mail and via text making for ease of checking in, solution of problems and ease of checkout. The Cabin is located in the center of the Blackhills offering easy access to any and all sites anyone would want to visit or activity one would want to engage in.
