Merci John de nous avoir loué votre cottage pour notre séjour! Le quartier est très charmant, la localisation est idéal, tranquille plage à 10 minutes à pied. La véranda avec moustiquaire était plaisante! Peut être y ajouter une chaise avec dossier pourrait la rendre plus confortable. Espace bien aménagée pour une famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants. Mon lit n’était pas le plus confortable mais j’ai connu pire. John répondait à toutes nos questions et était très avenant. Le cottage était très bien ranger, bien entretenu et propre. Il faut savoir que tout est assez rudimentaire et très vieux/ d’origine. Donc usure, rouille, éléments de bases seulement et beaucoup de vécu! Ne pas oublier d’apporter tout ce dont vous avez besoin en terme de serviettes car rien de fourni, ni même un tapis de bain et papier toilette. Beaucoup de consignes et règles à respecter à la lettre. Un peu trop pour nous qui, de nature sommes respectueux. On s’est sentis moins à l’aise du à cela.

The cottage had a musty smell throughout that was particularly strong in one of the rooms. People with sensitivities may have issues. Host said he and previous renters didn’t notice but it was very obvious to all of us. Shower interior, not pictured in the listing, is small with a concrete floor with rusty spots on the inside top area. The cottage was very damp, hung up towels did not dry. Outside area is wooded, which is nice but also meant there were lots of bugs. They were small, gnat sized and I got so many bites—even while inside because they were so small they got through the screens in the windows. I was trying to keep the windows open to combat the musty issue but it was a battle between the smell and not getting a lot of bug bites. Read the listing carefully before booking. The host does NOT provide: -toilet paper (other than one roll) -garbage bags -towels -bedsheets (the blankets provided are not laundered between guests, as noted by the host in an email prior to checkin)

John was a great host. He even gave the grandkids a ride on his golf cart. Great stay

Very clean and well maintained. No frills but everything you could need for a quaint cape vacation.

John is a wonderful and extremely helpful host who takes great pride in his family-owned cottages. The cottages are quite roomy with beautiful and quaint details in a perfect setting. We had a cottage next to my son and his family and great fun was had by all due to John's attention to detail and kindness. The houses are quiet, but we were very comfortable with the three kids under 12 making noise without disturbing anyone. Lots of outside seating and very comfortable inside chairs and beds. Could not ask for more and the price was great. I am actually reluctant to leave this great a review because we want to come back next year and I don't wanted anymore to book our week ;-) But John deserves lots of credit for the care he takes in these sweet cottages.
