We had a wonderful time! Enough beds to make everyone feel comfortable. Clean and cozy. Great family home vibe, exactly what I think of when I stay in Vermont. Very close to Waterbury and Waitsfield. The pool and hot tub were excellent during our August visit. Would stay again 10/10

The house is located in an ideal area of Vermont, with quick and easy access to Waitsfield, Warren, Waterbury (evidently all the towns that begin with "W"!), Montpelier, and Burlington as well as the ski resorts Stowe, Mad River Glen and Sugarbush. Lots of good restaurants, swimming holes (including rocks to jump off of!), tubing routes, farmers' markets, vintage shops, hikes and other activities nearby, but you may not even need to leave the property with all its amenities - a creek, large lawn, pool and hot tub, ping pong and billiards tables, etc. It is a charmingly quirky house - originally built over 150 years ago, as I understand it - with various additions over the years. When you first walk in, you have to get your bearings (a stairwell leads to a bedroom? another bedroom is accessed through a bathroom? there is an almost secret apartment above the garage?), but soon fall in love with all the eccentricities and realize it is much more fun to stay in a place with such character. It is and feels like an authentic, well-lived in family home. You can sense the history and happiness experienced there. It fit eight of us more than comfortably with plenty of spaces to convene and, as importantly, others to escape to for a little peace and quiet. It was well equipped, with everything we needed. Best of all, Alexander was incredibly attentive and accommodating, answering any and all questions.

What a place! I highly recommend this house to anyone with a large family that is looking for a bunch of space with close proximity to the town and ski mountain. There was also a great running route up Airport Rd. and back down N. Fayston.

We were a set of friends with our pre-teen and older teen kids. This house was so spacious, beautiful and with so much character. We were never on top of each other. We loved the kitchen and cooked tons (everything we needed was there). We loved the 2 fridges, so much space. The hot tub was amazing and we all loved the ping pong table, pool table and the games and piano. Beds were super comfortable. The location was amazing!
