Stayed here for 3 months (Sept-Dec) and it was perfect. I was studying online while staying and the wifi was fast enough for all I needed it for. Naoko was very helpful giving directions from the airport to the location. She and her family were very very welcoming and very very kind people. I will be staying with them again with out a doubt. The location is out of the busy parts of town so is fairly quiet (as quiet as Kathmandu can get) while still being close to restaurants and other locations. Only about a 30 minute walk to Thamel. 10/10 I don’t have a single negative thing to say about my stay, couldn’t recommend a better place.

Amazing place to stay - especially for a longer period. I always come back to this place (five times and almost 1 year in total). Naoko and her family are friendly and helpful and I always enjoy being around them. The place is quite and the area has good cafés, restaurants and supermarkets.

Naoko is a super nice host, very thoughtful, communicative and quick to respond to any inquiries. One of the best hosts I've ever met! The room is quite spacious, with lots of light and air-flow, plenty of space for luggage and a big table. Balcony is great to hang clothes to dry. The place is well located, just a short walk from the center, Thamel, Farmer's Market, etc. Since it's a few blocks from any avenues and dirt streets, it's not dusty at all. There's a lot of space for groceries in the common areas and the kitchen is very functional and well-equipped. Lots of small and medium-size shops a few minutes away. Everything here is kept very well organized and clean. Very good value and super nice place to stay for days, weeks or even months! Totally recommended! : D

I am happy to have stayed at Naoko's place.The place had all the amenities that were listed.Naoko and her family were warm and friendly.My trip to Kathmandu was extra special because of my stay at her wonderful place !!

Naoko's house is located in the Lazimpat locality of Kathmandu.Her house is on an elevation and offers excellent views of the surroundings from its terrace.It is located in a residential area and all the facilities like stores,ATMs and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away.There are embassies of different countries all around the location and even the Presidential Palace of Nepal is nearby.Transport to the centre of Kathmandu city is very easily available from the main road of Lazimpat.The house itself is beautiful, with wonderful interiors.There is a lovely Japanese-style garden in front of the house.I was very happy with my room in the flat.I woke up every morning to beautiful views of the mountains and chirping of the birds.There were no noises or disturbances of any kind.The house had all the amenities that were listed and my room was regularly cleaned all through my stay. Naoko and her family were warm and friendly and very helpful.I will always remember their hospitality.My stay in Kathmandu was extra special because of staying at this beautiful place and i yearn to go back to Kathmandu one day and stay at the same place again !!!
