We had a lovely stay at The Farmhouse. The house was spotless, nicely decorated, lovely bread basket and wine left for us on arrival. If you're a family with young kids there's loads of toys and a lovely backyard. It's an easy enough drive from Cork, my only advice is when travelling, stick to R and M class roads (we hit quite a big pothole on an L class and swore off them!!) John came down after we arrived and offered us local recommendations and was super friendly, I highly recommend this stay!

Our stay was exceptional, small details made a difference - like welcome wine plus snacks and baked goods, slippers, air fryer available, heating boost if needed for different zones of the house. We are very satisfied with the standard and surroundings. It was a great base to go to Ballycotton and see the lighthouse, Cork/Cobh and even further to the cliffs of Old Head, Mizen Head or the Killarney National Park. One of the best adventure in our lives so far. Ireland in its local, homely 'edition'.

A wonderful few days staying at Johns house. We were glad of the fresh scones on arrival. The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The house is a good location for easy travelling to Fota island - wildlife park, inch beach for surfing, as well as ballymaloe cookery school and house. Would highly recommend this house for adults and family’s.

Very comfortable place, a bathroom & shower for each room with large living, dining and kitchen areas. Beds were comfy too and the little bathroom supplies with slippers and a few bathrobes were very welcome. Wine, bread and milk on arrival was great.
