We stayed over the Christmas period. The location is absolutely top notch. I've stayed in this property before and it appears the owners are not investing money into the maintenance and upkeep of the house. A few broken tiles (with loose shards) upon entry, wouldn't be a deal breaker but for the fact we have a baby crawling on the tiles. Bathroom door handles about to come off, water damage marks upstairs. There are a lot of small things that could be tidied up if the interest was there from the owners. The property manager was friendly, I don't think the issues we noticed were within her control. Besides it was Christmas eve when we arrived and simply didn't have time to mention it. Despite the house being a little rough around the edges, we really enjoyed our stay.

A good location especially if you are attending a function at the hotel. We were disappointed with the standard of the property e.g decorations were quite old, basic maintenance lacking e.g. light bulbs needed changing and cleaning was inadequate. When I reported this the on-site representative did take action to correct things.

We stayed at The Mews for 15 days in October. The house was clean, modern and had all the amenities required for an exteded stay. Andy the Site Manager was very personable, knowledgable and very prompt with any communication. The house is located in an old castle courtyard, with amazing walks and scenery on your doorstep. The area was quiet, secure and very serene. Castlemartyr village is a short 4 minute walk with Midleton only 10 mins by car away.Would stay again and would reccommend to anyone looking to visit the area. Something to be aware of when booking is to read the fine print as to whats included in your stay. e.g. Electricity is charged at 5.00 Euro per day. Heating costs are also not included in your payment and must be settled at the end of your stay, this is definitely concerning if you are travelling in winter or have and extended stay like we did
