Die Unterkunft war super sauber, die Zimmer sehr schön und die Küche und auch der Hof sehr schön. Alles sehr gemütlich und einladend. Der Check mit Code war super praktisch und durch Orlas Beschreibung auch sehr gut zufinden. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super, um die Gegend in alle Richtungen zu erkundigen. Man ist schnell in Youghal, Middleton, Cork oder auch in Ardmore. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefüllt und können die Unterkunft und Orla als Gastgeberin empfehlen.

Superb in every way: location, the lodging itself, and the host. Location is the charming village of Castlemartyr that is a quick bus ride or drive from many other delightful places to visit (Ballymaloe, Ballycotton, Youghal, Cork, etc.). A short walk from the apartment is the Castlemartyr Resort and the peaceful grounds there, complete with woods walks, a pond with swans, and castle ruins. Bus stop is literally right outside the door, easy ATM access down the street at the Centra, and a PO across the street. The Village GreenGrocer for fantastic salads and deli items, fresh produce, and baked goods. And, I did much of my Christmas shopping at Castlemartyr House Gallery & Gifts next door. A couple of pubs and a fish and chips shop just a few doors away, also. The lodging itself is a very roomy, spotless, beautifully decorated two bedroom apartment with a large kitchen and all the amenities (tv, wifi, washer, dishwasher). Very quiet and private with a nice outdoor seating area. My cell phone (AT&T) worked just fine. And the most superb aspect of staying at Glenbower House is the host, Orla. Kind, welcoming, interested in making your stay memorable, Orla should train every AirBnB host, in my view. She's there with suggestions on places to dine and things to do (I took all of them and was never disappointed), but she's not intrusive at all. Orla is so knowledgeable about the area and was such a help to me in my own family genealogy efforts. She left wonderful breakfast items so I had an immediate option when I arrived from my long journey from the US. I can't recommend this AirBnb highly enough. I'm already planning my return visit.

This was the perfect place to stay for a wedding in the hotel. 4 of us stayed here and it was lovely and a few minute walk to the venue.
