Jene and her son were exceptional hosts. They were responsive, proactive, and made me feel like a long time friend. The location is spectacular, with views of the Milky Way on clear nights and gorgeous sunrises. It was the perfect getaway, free of distraction for what I needed.

If you like seeing wildlife, looking up at a starry sky, and being away from city noise…this is the place to be. It is the epitome of peacefulness. Being able to get out and walk around the 50acres is a nice bonus. The house is warm, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals, the bed is very comfortable, and there is plenty of hot water for showering after long hikes. Multiple skill level hiking/ walking trails, grocery stores and restaurants are in the area as well as breweries and wineries. Jene and Patrick are wonderful hosts- very attentive, but not intrusive. We stayed for a month and have already booked 2 months next year! Highly recommend Jene’s places!

Jene and her son were both friendly and accommodating! I stayed for a couple of months while my house was being completed and I couldn’t have chosen a better spot!!

The mountain view cottage was truly idyllic. We could lay in bed, sit at the table or on the deck and enjoy the wonderful views. The cottage has everything you need to cook your own meals or you can enjoy several local restaurants It's a short drive to the country market, grocery store or wineries. Fishing in the pond was wonderful it's loaded with fish (they practice) catch and release. Access to Shanadoa National Park is only a short drive. I recommend the Graves Mill boundary for accessing hiking trails. Since the purpose of my trip was to relax and take in the natural environment I couldn't have chosen a better place. Most importantly I have already started planning my return visit.
