Very good location. Water pressure in the sink faucets in my room and the kitchen could get low at times, which made things like dishes or shaving slightly challenging, but it didn't bother me too much. Respectful host, comfortable environment.

Brenda was polite and accommodating. Room was sparsely decorated , but peaceful and private. Unfortunately, Neighborhood, not so good!

I can't recommend this place. It turned out to be my worst Airbnb experience, not because of the location or apartment itself, but because of the setup where you are sharing a small apartment with other people not of your choosing, and the host's attitude when asked for help. I basically froze the whole time I was there. Between my housemates' preference for chilly temperatures, a badly programmed programmable thermostat, and a fan that had only two speeds, either blasting cold air or off, I was physically uncomfortable most of the time i was there. After attempting a few times to negotiate some compromise on temperature as I would expect to do with other adults, I finally appealed to the host, who criticized me for not coming to her sooner. (Then, a week later, the real host, the owner, who as far as I know is not mentioned in the listing, asked me why I couldn't just negotiate with the other tenants!) Add to that the physical altercation between one of the couples staying there, followed by the man's temporary exile and loud appeals to be re-admitted that kept the rest of us up until 2 am (no apology offered), a similar argument a couple weeks later, the smoke alarm in my room that chirped loudly all night while the host ignored my texts and even my banging on her door in the house next door, so that I couldn't sleep until 7:30 am when I passed out out of sheer exhaustion ... you get the idea. I started a full time job two days after I arrived in Charleston. Between that and looking for an apartment, I really didn't have time to deal with this kind of unpleasantness.

Responsive host and a quiet room for sleep as well as an excellent kitchen. Easy access to King Street.
