This was such a welcome escape from city life! Property so peaceful and beautiful. View from the back yard is gorgeous - I love the fall colors, hilltops, sky and clouds! House was perfect in always for my husband, our Labrador and myself - cozy and warm. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. Jon was very good with communication and suggests for outings at near by areas. Loved cruising the streets of Woodstock and Quechee. Fabulous walk at the Quechee Gorge. Loved the Woodstock Farmers Market - dangerously delicious treats of all kinds! Everything was easy to get to. People were kind when we were out in the community. It will be on our list to revisit! Thank you Jon for offering your home.

Even better than the pictures. Jon is a fantastic host as well. Lucky find and we will certainly look this up again next time we can get to Vermont.

I had a wonderful relaxing stay here last week with my husband and our small dog. We spent a lot of time enjoying the solitude, admiring the mountains, and listening to the breeze rustling the trees around us. Even when there was some inclement weather, the mist and clouds still made for beautiful scenery. The house is cozy and well stocked, we cooked some meals and enjoyed others out in nearby Woodstock (30 min drive to the downtown area, S Woodstock is closer). Jon is a great host - he shared thorough directions to ensure we had no issues navigating to the house and checking in, and followed up to make sure all was well after we arrived. I’ve never stayed somewhere off the grid before, but it was smooth and easy.

Close your eyes and imagine the most beautiful view - blue sky, puffy clouds, mountains and lush green forests as far as you can see. As you look closer, you notice so much more - flowers, herbs and what I think may be a star magnolia tree. I'll need to return for further analysis. On our first afternoon there was a brief rain shower and a "welcome rainbow". What I did not see, until I really looked for them, were the solar panels! The house was lovely. More than enough space for me, my husband and our 3 labs. The kitchen has awakened a deep desire to renovate my home kitchen. I felt right at home in the space and was pleasantly surprised each time I found something I wasn't expecting. All the spices I like to use, a hand mixer (essential for making whipped cream for the strawberry shortcake), really nice cookware and a treasure trove of cleaning supplies! On our first afternoon there was a brief rain shower and a "welcome rainbow". All the stars for this beautiful home!

This was the second time we stayed at Jon’s house and once again everything was perfect. Jon is always quick to respond and has very clear instruction and information about his home. If you get the chance to stay here I would suggest you take it. The view is amazing, the house is beautiful, the beds are super comfy and Jon is a wonderful host. I hope the house is available when we are in Woodstock next summer.
