Sitting in a sunny south-facing elevated position with stunning views overlooking the water, the house features a light-filled conservatory, ideal for curling up with a good book or simply enjoying the stunning views of Penpol Creek; a fully furnished kitchen and dining room that seats 8 and provides ample space for family meals and gatherings; a small dedicated work space and a stunning sitting room with a cosy gas fire for those chilly Cornish evenings. Enjoy breathtaking views from the sunny patio overlooking the creek, perfect for morning yoga, afternoon tea or alfresco dining, or retreat to the private fully fenced garden with a fire pit, ideal for star-gazing under the Cornish sky. ***THE LOCAL AREA*** Our home, conveniently situated between Truro and Falmouth, offers easy access to a variety of activities and attractions, ensuring a memorable stay for all guests. Within a few minutes' drive, guests can explore the scenic Old Tram road below, which forms part of the mineral railways cycle track leading to the north coast. From our doorstep, guests can embark on a plethora of scenic walks in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, immersing themselves in the breathtaking landscapes of Cornwall. With its quiet and peaceful waterside location, free from main roads, our property offers a tranquil retreat for relaxation and recreation. For outdoor enthusiasts, public access to the tidal Penpol Creek is approximately 200 meters from the house, providing opportunities for swimming and easy launching for boats, kayaks, or SUPs. Nearby attractions include the picturesque Pandora Inn in Mylor, accessible by a short paddle across Penpol Creek at high tide or a scenic drive. For dining options, guests can visit friendly pubs such as The Old Quay Inn in Devoran or the Punch Bowl & Ladle in Penelewy, both within a short distance by car or a pleasant cycle ride or walk along the Old Tram road. Restronguet Creek is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are many stunning walks from our home along the beachside, whether to the local pub in Devoran or to Loe beach where you can stop for a bite or a coffee at the café or test your skills on a paddleboard. If you catch the tides right, you can even kayak from Point to The Pandora, a well renowned and ancient, thatched pub with a unique and hugely popular dining jetty – a great place for some fresh fish a local beer !
Just 4 miles south of the Cathedral city of Truro and with the vibrant, bohemian coastal town of Falmouth just 20 minutes drive away, there’s plenty of life closeby if you want it. There are festivals and events in Falmouth and many of the coastal towns and villages all summer long, everything from Oyster festivals to Sea Shanties and Flora Days.
