Our time with Sarah and her family was absolutely amazing! Even before we arrived, Sarah was extremely supportive in making sure that we make the most of our stay - regardless of what you're looking for, they know exactly where to go! Our personal highlights: - Snorkeling at the Rainbow Reef (saw turtles, sharks, rare jellyfish, colorful (!) corals) - Lavena Coastal Walk to the waterfall - Tavoro Waterfalls - Snorkeling at the Honeymoon Islands Overall, the house is tucked away in incredibly lush, tropical nature, surrounded by plenty of coconut and papaya trees ready to be enjoyed. Sarah and her family went above and beyond to give us a real Fiji experience in the short amount of time we had. Make sure to eat with them as much as you can, the food is SOOO delicious and the conversations about Fiji and its culture were incredibly enriching. We spent a great week with Sarah, Sam, Cathy and Lynn. We were warmly welcomed by everyone in the family and it was a real pleasure to have dinner all together and have great conversations and good laughts at any time. We learned a lot about Fijian way of living and history. Communication was great and easy. Sarah and Sam helped us planning our trip around Taveuni as well. We had a nice room with a large and really comfortable bed. Fan was definitely a bonus as it got pretty warm at night ! Location was good ; really close to the airport, close to a small supermarket, bus stop near by if you travel on a budget, and a 15 min walk from a beach where you can snorkel. Finally, Sarah's fijian cooking was a pure delight. Breakfast and dinner were fresh, homemade, tasty, and big portions. We really loved it and we miss it today! Be prepared to put on some weight :D We definitely recommend to stay at Sarah and Sam's if you are in Taveuni and would like to live in a fijian family.

We highly recommend Sarah’s place for those looking for an authentic Fiji homestay experience. Sarah and Sam welcomed us into their home like honored guests and put their hearts into making our stay comfortable and memorable. They suggested activities, provided transportation, and looked after our needs while family life flowed all around. Meals were served on the veranda with a view of the airstrip and the ocean beyond. Breakfasts were included and the delicious dinners with the family, which need to be requested in advance, were worth coming home for because that’s when stories are shared. All in all a wonderful stay.

Staying in Sarah’s and her family’ place was just wonderfull. If i could put more than five stars I would do it. We were hosted in perfects conditions : in a beautiful room, a cosy house with an amazing view on the pacific ocean. The family is really nice as well as the kitties and the dog. It was like being with our family. The dinners were typical home made Fijian food, very tasty. Every day was a different specialty with so much quantity "eat like a Fijian" they say :) Sarah gave us many recommandations of things to do on the island (walks, waterfall, dive, etc). They can provide transport service, so easy and helpful. The location is perfect, near by the small airport, 3 min walking from the beach and the supermarket. Cherry on the cake, Sarah is the best massage person ever. She knows and can feel all the pain of the body to remove it. I highly recommand this airbnb and would like to come again very soon. Sarah and Sam are the most wonderful hosts for an authentic Fijian experience. They know a lot about Taveuni and can help you find everything you need for a fantastic time on the island. Both were super supportive and helped me navigate around the island. The bus stop is right in front of their house, and everyone is very helpful to make sure you get on the right bus, and back home again. A very convienent way to get around the island on a budget. Everything else you need (shops, beaches, ice cream, etc) are also just in a few minutes walking distance from the house. The place is very open and welcoming, and Sarah's superb Fijian cooking adds to this experience. The WiFi connection is also great - I had no troubles making a couple of videocalls during my stay. I felt very welcome and right at home, and can only recommend to stay with Sarah and Sam if you are visiting Taveuni
