We stayed at Irina’s place as a family of 8 for a week. The villa looks exactly like the pictures - and it was spacious enough for 8 people! Rooms were clean, the swimming pool and the barbecue area were amazing and we spent a lot of time outside. The area is good if you’re looking for beach type of holiday - there are plenty of beaches around and the sea is amazingly clean and warm. There are lots of restaurants within a 15 min walk (we recommend Marius, Vjetar Cafe and Verige 65 though the last one is a taxi ride) as well as a supermarket. Overall we were very pleased with the experience and Irina’s place felt just like home. The host is also super flexible - we needed to change our booking a couple times and Irina helped with that. We recommend staying at Irina’s place.

We enjoyed our stay in Stoliv Montenegro and appreciated the stunning views from the villa balcony and the private pool. The area is beautiful and has easy access to some fantastic restaurants on the sea front. The villa is tricky to find and the road from the ferry can be difficult as narrow and single track at times, but the villa manager gave us good instructions and was at the other end of the phone to guide us in. The steepness of the road up to the villa is not clear on the description and would be very unsuitable for some people. The villa has a lovely open aspect and interior that is tastefully decorated, good sofa, TV and dining table. The beds were comfortable. There were some really important areas that we were very unhappy about. Mainly the outside seating, this was uncomfortable and inadequate for a villa that sleeps 8, we were a party of 5 adults and there was only 2 sun beds. The other chairs consisted of 2 deck chairs and some very light children’s folding chairs which we were unable to use. The outside sofa was broken. We were unable to all sit comfortably together outside and spent a lot of time moving chairs from the balcony to the poolside. We contacted the villa manager regarding this and a broken coffee machine and although we didn’t get a response for 24 hours she did bring a replacement coffee machine and 2 camping chairs but these are not really what you want to use when sunbathing. There was good amount of cooking pans and crockery but very few glasses(only 3 wine glasses) The dishwasher was very small and at floor level under the sink so not easy to use and no hot water most of the time in the kitchen. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable but the double room downstairs only had a fan (no AC) and had 2 floor to ceiling windows with blinds but not blackout so the room was quite warm and very bright. No mirrors or shelving in the downstairs bedrooms. There was no information in the villa regarding local amenities or about the villa so a lot of guess work about how the hot water worked and where to leave rubbish etc. This villa is not up to the standard that is expected for the amount of money we paid for our one week stay.

Stoliv is not a good choice for a location. Really not. The road between the ferry at Lepetane and Kotor is a nightmare to drive in the summer. The smallest distance takes forever because of the lack of space to cross oncoming traffic. It takes 25 tedious and nerve racking minutes to drive from this location to Kotor. It means you are basically adding 50 minutes to your drive time whatever you choose to do. Additionally, while Kotor and most villages around the bay are very pretty, this particular area has been turned over to concrete madness and to litter. So yes, the view from the terrace is stunning and, yes, the pool is welcoming but we didn’t want to travel this distance just to sit by a pool. We would definitely have preferred a location closer to some practical roads so as to be able to get out and see something of Montenegro.

Amazing home with truly wonderful views. Communication was also good. I gave a 4-star review because the lights in the backyard pool area did not work, which limited our ability to use the pool at night.
