Sergio’s apartment in Roncy was a perfect restful spot during our stay in Toronto—clean, cozy, quiet. The neighborhood is beautiful and close to shops and restaurants (and incredible coffee), and well-located to explore the city on public transit. We loved it!
Me and my partner stayed for a week in this unit and it was truly a comfortable experience. The apartment is in a chill area with high park just around the corner, connections to downtown in 30 mins, stores and restaurants. The pathway to the house being lit up at night was very useful too. Sergio and Ann were hospitable hosts and responsive. Overall, for us, nothing was missing from feeling at home.
Cute and cozy airbnb. Very clean and I definitely recommend for a quiet getaway in a nice neighborhood. Close walk to good brunch spots also. :)
As first timers in Canada, this was a great place to stay! Very walkable to High Park and great restaurants around. About an 8 minute walk to the TTC streetcars, 25-35 min average on the streetcars to downtown Toronto. Really wasn't that bad if you plan your day accordingly!! (Transit app is helpful) Getting back late at night, we didn't feel unsafe walking back to the house. The weather wasn't on our side for most of our visit, but Sergio was kind enough to lend us some umbrellas during our stay! Would recommend for anyone seeking a comfortable introduction to the city!
Known as “Roncy” to locals, this neighbourhood next to High Park caters to those who would enjoy a more relaxed vibe. This is a traditionally Polish area, and you can still eat your fill of Eastern European treats along the main street. You'll also find vintage stores, design and gift boutiques, pubs, and eateries that cater to Roncy’s many health-conscious residents. You're also steps away from Lake Ontario, Sunnyside Beach, and the hip Queen Street West strip.
There are lots of ways to get around in Toronto.
Walk - Roncey is a very walkable neighbourhood, as are the surrounding neighbourhoods. Much of what you might need is within a 10-20 minute walk. (See our guidebook for ideas!)
Transit - Our public transit system is the “TTC” (Toronto Transit Commission). See which routes are close to the property using the map on our listing. You can also check out the TTC trip planner online at TTC website.
Bike - Toronto Bike Share has locations across Toronto for short-term bike rentals. The closest station is 500m away at Garden Avenue and Roncesvalles.
Rideshare & taxi - Uber is available in Toronto, as are many taxi services.
Drive - Temporary on-street parking permits are available from the City of Toronto website for parking near the property. Green P is the city-owned paid parking option with locations across the city; we recommend checking it out online and downloading the app to find and pay for parking.
