There are small group of A-Frame chalets in this area. The chalet is located directly across from Sheepback Mountian. The views are unobstructed and open. They are also beautiful. The area is quiet, safe and offers a nice area for a morning stroll or for sitting outside late into the evening star gazing. Elk are frequent visitors. We hope you enjoy our four legged friends as much as we do. We have an occassional groundhog wander up to the chalet as well as lots of chipmonks. The mountains offer a chance to get out into nature, close up. The drive to the chalet right up to the side door is fully paved. No steep hills. There is a gravel parking pad directly in front of the chalet in case someone needs extra parking or has a truck with trailer.

This a nice area for long walks. From the door of the chalet, down the lane and across the street the lane continues down by Jonathan Creek. The heavy brush hides the creek below the sound of the gurgling stream can be heard from the front deck. The Entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway is only five minutes away making it easy to hop in your car or motorcycles and take a drive along those wonderful winding roads. The center of Maggie is five minutes away, convenient for shopping or dinning in one of many restaurants. Waynesville is also close by, 15 minute drive with lots of high end art shops, restaurants, dining and it has a Mask General Store. The old fashion candy sold here is a wonderful treat. There are many small towns close by to visit and explore.
