We have found, for you, a place that meets all your desires: the Les Airelles **** campsite in the Hautes Alpes, 3 km from Lake Serre-Ponçon. 3 good reasons to go there: first of all, the campsite is located on the edge of the Mazelière forest, in a calm, welcoming, peaceful site, a true haven of peace. It is also close to everything: the city center, the lake, the shops… Anna and Olivier are delighted to welcome you for your vacation close to nature in the Hautes Alpes! We'll take you in our backpack to discover Serre-Ponçon! In the heart of the Southern Alps, Lake Serre-Ponçon is a dream destination for lovers of water sports, swimming and tanning! Its developed beaches, its wild coves, its 80km of shores, and its “mountain” environment make Serre-Ponçon a natural paradise! Magical, elusive, our mountains form a true setting around Lake Serre-Ponçon. In this area, the fauna and flora are extremely rich and the landscapes of great variety. As a family, this is the opportunity for you to practice water sports on the lake, to walk the fairy trail: a real open-air museum in the heart of the wild and preserved Crevoline nature. Don't forget to explore the different villages in the area. For those closest to you: Baratier accessible by a path in the forest, Embrun and its cathedral, Chorges and its aquarpark for young and old, Cros and its Picomtal castle. If you want to escape a little further then we suggest Briançon and the old medieval Briançonnet or the famous charrance gardens in Gap. In summer, find various markets with fresh and local products: Sunday at the Chroges market, Tuesday and Friday at the Savines-le-Lac market and Wednesday in Embrun. The region is also ideal for hiking with, for example, the Thousand Waterfalls Trail which passes just above the campsite or the trail which goes up to the village of Orres. Not far from the campsite you will also find the entrance to the Parc des Écrins with hiking trails that will delight you! To the delight of young and old, the campsite offers leisure infrastructure and equipment: a 280m² swimming pool open and heated all season from June, a paddling pool and fun water games for your children, a pétanque court, a children's play area with inflatable structure and trampoline but also cabins and slides for bursts of laughter. A skate park awaits you for multiple slides! In July/August, various events and activities are offered on the schedule with various activities every afternoon as well as one themed evening per week to share good times with family or friends.
