Zoom on the region and the surroundings of the campsite: Thirst for wide open spaces and paths in the heart of nature? Do you want bucolic getaways and heritage discovery? We take you in our backpack to discover Serre-Ponçon! In the heart of the Southern Alps, the Serre-Ponçon lake is a dream destination for lovers of water sports, swimming and sunbathing! Its equipped beaches, its wild creeks, its 80km of shores, and its "mountain" environment make Serre-Ponçon a natural paradise! Magical, elusive, our mountains form a real setting around the Serre-Ponçon lake. In this area, the fauna and flora are extremely rich and the landscapes of great variety. As a family, this is an opportunity for you to practice water sports on the lake, to walk the fairy trail: a real open-air museum in the heart of the crevoline, wild and preserved nature. Do not forget to discover the different villages in the area. For the closest: Baratier accessible by a path in the forest, Embrun and its cathedral, Chorges and its aquarpark for young and old, Cros and its castle of Picomtal. If you want to escape a little further then we suggest Briançon and the old medieval Briançonnet or the famous charrance gardens in Gap. In summer, find various markets with fresh and local products: Sunday at Chroges market, Tuesday and Friday at Savines-le-Lac and Wednesday at Embrun. The region is also ideal for hiking with, for example, the path of a thousand waterfalls which passes just above the Maeva Escapades les Airelles **** campsite or the path which goes up to the village of Les Orres. Not far from the campsite, you will also find the entrance to the Ecrins park with also hiking trails that will delight you! To the delight of young and old, maeva offers leisure facilities and equipment : a 280m² swimming pool open and heated all season from June, a paddling pool and fun water games for your children, a playground petanque, a playground for children with inflatable structure and trampoline but also huts and slides for laughter. A skate park awaits you for multiple slides!
