We have Myki cards with some balance for you to travel around Melbourne (beyonds the free tram zone) by public transport (trams, trains, and buses). They were so meticulous and made sure everything I needed were well prepared. You will never go hungry in their wonderful home. Thank you so much for allowing me flexible check out times to accommodate my late flight and always ensuring I’m comfortable there. It was home away from home! Top recommendation for those who intend to stay in Docklands/near to CBD at extremely reasonable price, convenience and most importantly with the warmth of a home. The place is nested in the heart of the vibrant Victoria Harbour precinct. Nearby areas include Victoria Harbour, Marvel Stadium, The District Docklands, Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) South Wharf and Southern Cross Station, Costco.
Woolworths and a couple of Asian grocery stores are within 4-5 mins walk.
There are several parks and gardens around with BBQ facilities for your retreat and fun time with friends.
The apartment is in the free tram zone so you can get on any tram to CBD without touching on a Miky card. Just get on routes 11, 48 along Collins Street, 70 and 75 along Flinders Street, 30 along La Trobe Street, 86 along La Trobe, Spencer and Bourke Streets, and 35-the city Circle).
To get to Southern Cross Station (where you can take a Skybus to airports, V-line train services, DFO shopping centres), just jump on any tram on route 11 or 48 and jump off after 3 stops (also in free tram zone).
To/from airports: Skybus at Southern Cross station takes 25 minutes to get to Tullamarine (MEL) airport and costs AU$23.9 for one way or AU$40 for a return. The Skybus to/from Avalon (AVV) airport takes 70 minutes and costs AU$26.5 for one way or AU$50 for a return.
