Do Not Stay Here! On the surface this is a cute place, but there are issues. First, it’s a bit difficult to get into — it’s around the side of a house and there is a narrow set of stairs that go into the casita. The door is difficult to latch and will come open. The place was clean, but I quickly started to hear noises in the walls, and it became obvious that there were rats or mice living in the walls. The other issue is the construction of the place. There is a super steep set of stairs that go to the second level — very easy to slip on and fall. Once upstairs, I was thrown off by the skew of the building. Everything slopes towards the front of the property, You could drop a marble and it would roll down the slope. Not the end of the world, but it was enough to make me dizzy. I can’t imagine that this place was permitted. Be warned if you stay here. Owner was not willing to work with me or consider a refund. For context, I never leave bad reviews — this is the first.

We didn’t feel this house was up to building code. The whole thing was slanted, the stairs are hazardous—they’re steep, super narrow, with segmented rails, and you’re slanted backward when you ascend. The photos don’t show the two caution signs on the steps, but guests should know caution is needed before booking (think kids/elderly). The bathroom vanity is NOT secure. When my mother leaned on it to brush her teeth, the unit tipped forward, the sink’s unsecured U-shaped pipe fell off, causing water to spew out and then rush toward the bedroom due to the slant. This was a hazard to us due to the owner’s neglect, and the owner has since requested that WE pay for it. The house address isn’t visible at night, and the way to the guest house has steps and unfinished brick work we didn’t know about (and we had a lot of luggage). There’s loud rutting and scratching from a pigeon roost on the house, and the bathroom has a barn door so no full closure. We didn’t even stay our second night.
