THIS PLACE IS SPECTACULAR! From the beautiful villas to the view to the lush sheets, fully appointed culinary kitchen, and perfect lanai seating, it was beyond special. It is a haven for utter relaxation and chilling, with everything you could ever crave in eating, dining, and extraordinary experiences within 15 minutes drive. Waking up each morning to the sound of the waves, planning the day over cafe, having second cafe at one of the many gathering places, beach visits, leisurely lunches, afternoon siestas, divine dinners, and watching the sunset, only to begin anticipating another day like this one. The perfect epicenter for your time on the Baja, you will be LUCKY to acquire time here. Our deepest gratitude for our time here. ++ note ++ renting an SUV for your time both here and to access the really good stuff is a MUST.
Our family absolutely loved our stay at Alex and Melissa's place. The views of the ocean from the main living area and the master bedroom, paired with the unfiltered sound of the ocean right outside are second to none. Our two teenagers shared the second bedroom which was cozy and had its own bathroom which offered them the privacy and space any teenager (or adult) would want. The beds and bedding in both bedrooms were so comfortable. The oversized fuzzy blankets were a nice touch for breezy nights on the deck enjoying the sound of the ocean. Did I mention the sound of the ocean? :) The entire condo was beautifully appointed with an available workout facility that also overlooks the ocean. All in all we enjoyed our stay at Gavilan and will absolutely stay here again if it is available for booking when we return to Cerritos Beach.
If you're looking for a vacation in Baja California Sur that is far from the touristy resorts in Cabo, I highly recommend this 2BR condo in El Gavilan Villas. This is the rare case of a vacation rental I would return to over a hotel stay. Specific high points: - The unit is spotless, well maintained, quiet, and high quality - The balcony is extremely large and has expansive views of the nearby beach and Pacific Ocean - Good pool! - The local hosts are very helpful and responded promptly to questions - There is a written reference guide in the unit that proved to be very useful in locating good beaches, fresh fish, markets, and restaurants in the area The surrounding area in Los Cerritos, which you have to drive through to get to El Gavilan, is undergoing a lot of construction and development and on the way in you might be concerned about noise. Don't worry! The condo feels like the end of the earth with nothing but the Pacific ahead of you; you can hear the surf crashing at night.
Paradise found. We heard about this condo from our good friends who had stayed there before. It did not disappoint. Beautiful location overlooking the Pacific. Walking or quick drive to great local spots on Cerritos Beach, our favorite being Barracuda's which had amazing baja fish tacos and drinks. Friendly and laid-back community of Cerritos beach a mix of locals, ex-pats, surfers, and friendly dogs. We enjoyed the condo's large backgammon board, and the binoculars that allowed for nice views of the many whales we saw off the beach. I highly recommend this place and the host was friendly and responsive to any questions we had.

Please note that construction is ongoing in the area. The Cerritos and El Gavilan area are undergoing development.
There is one private shaded parking for your use.
For an optimal experience, we highly recommend renting a high-clearance car, as the condo is perched atop El Gavilán hill. The ascent can be challenging for standard vehicles, but the breathtaking views and serene atmosphere at the top make it well worth the journey.
