The apt was perfect for a visit to my daughter at Allegheny College which was just a few minutes away. Bed was a little firm for my taste but it was in good shape. I could not find the shampoo or body soap which the listing stated there should be. To be fair though it was early in the morning when I noticed and I did not have time to reach out to Marion to ask about it or fix the situation. It is a simple no frills place but very serviceable for a quick weekend. There is a full fridge, microwave, 2 burner stove and toaster oven. Marion very nicely left scones, yogurt, strawberries and juice in the fridge. I would stay again when I am in the area.
It felt like my own little apartment, very comfortable. Marion was also super helpful on how to find the place and left snacks and drinks for me! :)
Marion is a wonderful host, available and attentive.
My two friends and I stayed in Marion's upstairs apartment while in town for a memorial service. The apartment was cozy and appeared as advertised; we knew the kitchenette would be small, but with a little ambition we were able to cook a simple meal and entertain an additional (4th) friend as a guest one night. Marion was responsive, attentive to our needs, and accommodating of my odd travel constraints as they pertained to my check-in time in particular. The apartment was located within a convenient driving distance of downtown Meadville, and not a bad walking distance either. All in all, it was a great place to stay.
Marion greeted me even though it was many hours after check-in. Her instructions were clear and helpful. I loved being walking distance to the college in downtown!

Color is a big part of my life from flowers to quilts. Food and cooking are hobbies of mine. I enjoy cooking for friends more then going out to eat. I am a grandmother to two handsome and bright little boys. I was born in Wellesley, MA; grew up on the Northern CA coast; lived a few years near Dallas, TX and now reside in north east PA. From here I can visit my daughter and her family in Ohio, my cousins near Philadelphia, PA and my Aunts and cousins in London, Ont., Canada. My father was Canadian, my mother a US citizen. My house is a triplex with one upstairs 1 bedroom unit available for rentals on Airbnb. It is an old Victorian which was part of the Baldwin-Reynolds estate. Henry Baldwin was an Associate Supreme Court justice from 1830 to 1844. That current property is a County Historical Society museum one block from my house. Meadville is one of the oldest incorporated towns in the United States. The landscape here is rolling hills which in the Fall are ablaze with color. It was the home of the Talon Zipper factory. The town's nickname is Tool City for its many tool and dye manufacturers. The near by town of Titusville is the site of the first commercial oil well in the U.S. A great museum and park showcase the well. It is a beautiful place for a picnic. You will be surrounded here by early American History.
