"Casalina" is a villa with natural garden; centrally located in Sta Catalina; only a short walk from the town center, restaurants, dive shops, beaches and surf spots. The guest area has two guest rooms and is located on the top floor, tucked away in the treetops. Guests share the house with the host, who has lived in Panama for 10+ years and her dogs and cats. A very private lodging in the middle of the action; perfect for nature and animal lovers looking for a true airbnb experience. The guest area consist of two private rooms with a double bed and a private bathroom, a patio with kitchen and large table, a library and a wraparound terrace with hammocks, chairs and ocean breeze. The kitchen is well-equiped. There is everything you need to make a nice meal and a blender to make smoothiers. Guests have access to a water dispenser for drinking water.

Wir haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an sehr wohl gefühlt bei Karlien, da wir sehr herzlich von ihr und den süssen Vierbeinern begrüsst wurden. Karlien ist sehr offen und gibt dir gerne Tipps. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen, war extrem schön und gemütlich. Das Kochen machte in dieser tollen Küche auch Spass. Hätten wir die Zeit gehabt, wären wir sehr gerne noch länger geblieben.

Endroit paradisiaque, tout était propre et bien rangé. Karlien est super accueillante. Beaucoup de choses près de l endroit ( restaurants, plage, pharmacie). Elle est très sympathique et accommodante. Il y a de bons animaux de compagnie sur place. Il y a même de petits colibris qui viennent s'abreuver sur sa terrasse. La seule chose qui manquait était l air climatisé mais sinon tout était parfait.

Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft von Karlien mit ihren Hunden & Katzen sehr wohl gefühlt! In der oberen Etage befinden sich die zwei AirBnB Zimmer und ein schöner Gemeinschaftsbereich mit offener Küche und zwei Hängematten. Perfekt, um den Tag entspannt zu verbringen. Zum Playa Estrelló sind es ca 15 min zu Fuß, zum anderen und den Restaurants ca. 5 min. Trotz zentraler Lage ist es sehr ruhig und man hört nur die Natur. Der Kontakt mit Karlien war sehr nett.

Karlien hat uns sehr nett begrüßt und der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet und man hatte genügend Platz. Die zwei Katzen und zwei Hunde waren super lieb und hatten nie etwas gegen eine Streicheleinheiten. Gerne würde ich die Wohnung wieder buchen.

Santa Catalina is a little fishing and beach town on the pacific coast of Panama. Around two and a half hours drive from Santiago, with the beach literally at the end of the road. It's a a paradise for people who like the ocean and watersports. Santa Catalina has great surfing for beginners to pros almost year-round. It is also the most convenient location for trips to Coiba National Park, which offers some of the best marine life and diving/snorkling/birdwatching in Central America.
Other activities: fishing trips, SUP, yoga, walking trails, horseriding, visits to nearby authentic villages, trips to Isla Cebaco/Isla Gobernadora, kite surfing, ...
Santa Catalina is so far not very developed or too touristy but the word is getting out now.
Santa Catalina has little nightlife, but a few (beach)bars and some good national and international restaurants and coffeeshops.

出行信息

All (dive- and snorkel)shops, beaches, surfspots, restaurants etc are walking distance from Casalina. The walk to the center/La Punta/Estero beach: 5/10/20 minutes.
Getting to Santa Catalina:
- by car, bus or Shuttle
- Buses depart from Albrook Bus Terminal in Panama City to Sona at 8:20am, 10:20am, 12:45pm, 2:20pm, 4:20pm and 5.45pm. This takes about 4,5- 5 hours. The 8:20 bus gives the best connection to Santa Catalina.
- The busride Sona - Santa Catalina takes about 1,5 hours. This is the timetable:
Sona to Santa Catalina: 5:30AM, 8:40AM (not on sunday), 11:20AM, 1:30PM, 3:00PM(not on sunday), 4:45PM (4:30 on sunday)
Santa Catalina to Sona: 6:15AM (not on sunday), 7:00AM, 8:00AM, 10:45AM (not on sunday), 1:15PM, 3:30PM
- If you come by car: there is safe parking space on the property for two guest cars
