We named this house Harper Lee because her charm harkens back to the quieter time of the 1930's, while maintaining the convenience of the modern age. Relax on the spacious front porch sipping some sweet tea, or take a much deserved rest in one of the spacious 4 bedrooms while basking in the warm southern sun that pours through the giant windows. Don't miss your last-minute work call in our quiet downstairs study before enjoying your vacation. Ready to hit the town? While the house is located on a peaceful street, you are mere minutes from the bustling fun of Downtown Birmingham, Homewood, or bureaus of Mountain Brook. Like to eat in? Our kitchen and dining room are perfect to host a meal with your 7 other friends or family members. Don't miss on the pre-set local fair we've left you like coffee from O'henrys or a baking mix from Southern Staples. Lounge around together afterwards in the spacious, yet cozy living room for a movie or a game (some provided- check out "Vibe & Virtues" (locally created game!) or "Just Like Mama Used to Say". This house is the perfect place to unwind and reconnect while enjoying some Southern Charm. This home does not allow smoking or vaping.

Peter was an excellent host. He was communicative, generous, and very quick to resolve our questions and concerns. The house was nice and spacious. Lovely appliances, comfy mattresses, and very clean and homey. We loved our stay here.
AC upstairs didn’t work- repaired the next morning but created a bumpy start - otherwise spacious / clean / kind owner
In town for a meeting and Peter’s place was continently located between the airport and the meeting location. Plenty of space for four grown men and super quiet area. The charm of a 100 year old house speaks for it self. Would for sure stay again if ever in Birmingham.
Peter and his wife are some of those amazing hosts that you rarely find. They were very helpful from the very moment I requested to book their place. They asked about who are going to stay with us and the age of my kids. They provided them coloring books about Birmingham, a kid's book about the city, and a very lovely book made by their kids for my little ones. Peter and Shannon emailed us regarding what to do during our two day stay in Birmingham, which saved us time, and we got the chance to explore tge most of what we could find in this city. The house itself was very clean. It is an old one, which has gone through a recent renovation. There were plenty of amenities at this home to make it an easy and pleasant stay with kids. If the hosts kindly add some cooking stuff like oil and spices, it makes it very convenient to cook for those who only need a small amount of cooking ingredients during their travel.
Within walking distance of topgolf and protective stadium, very clean and Peter was very responsive. We will definitely stay here next time we’re in the area!
